NOT wind or waterproof!
Well, it is definitely NOT windproof, flips backward inverted all the time. The fabric is thin, stretchy with some loose threads hanging from the ribs, definitely is NOT waterproof. The umbrella opens easily with the click of a button, but it is very difficult to close without mustering up some strength. I need both hands, free, just to close it securely. The full-sized inverted umbrellas are better for staying dry, because of the design, but the mini inverted umbrella is as useless as the others for staying dry. Sure the ribs are inverted when closing or opening, but the ribs are so short and folded, floppy and drippy, that when you close your umbrella you cannot help getting wet, this mini type of umbrella remains unbearably wet and drippy, unlike the stronger and better made, full-sized versions which trap the water inside after closing. Overall, the umbrella quality is of the average $5 umbrella and I am quite disappointed, considering I paid almost $20

Great customer service!
Received yesterday and will be returning. Case already has a tear in the seam and Velcro piece that secured umbrella when closed is also coming apart due to poor stitching. But the worst part is the AWFUL smell! Put umbrella outside for several hours trying to air it out and it still reeks, a chemical like odor. No way I was going to put this my suitcase and risk my clothes smelling this way.
** Update** Fidus immediately contacted me upon seeing my initial negative review and offered replacement or refund. Opted for refund as I had already replaced. Quite possibly I received a defective item and given how strongly the company stands behind their product I would recommend them.

I thought it was a substantial folding umbrella. It isn't.
It's rather heavy for a compact folding umbrella which means whatever you carry this in, it'll add weight. It opens abruptly when you press on the handle button, but beware, as it startled me the first time opening it. It seems well made and hopefully the weight means its sturdy and won't break down the way so many folding umbrellas do. It has a nice wide span when open. I haven't had a chance to test it in the wind and/or rain yet. When I do, I'll update this review.
Update Edit. I've used the umbrella 5 times and it just broke, won't open automatically and if opened manually, won't stay open. I The umbrella has not been used under any heavy conditions. So, it's useless.

I absolutely love this umbrella! For this price, you really get what you pay for! The quality is nice and the metal rods are so thick and sturdy. I used it during a rain storm and the umbrella did not flip over at all. And it dried super fast! It’s a very compact size so i just carried it in my small purse. Automatic open & close feature is a super plus and the fabric folds upwards so when you close it, it actually keeps the rain from splashing back down on you. Major plus! No regrets!

Update: Excellent customer service!
I originally wrote a 3-star review for this umbrella - the handle was so stiff, it made the umbrella difficult to close. But a representative read my review and contacted me the SAME DAY, offering me an exchange or refund! I'd say that was excellent customer service, so I'm changing my rating to give kudos to the company for taking the initiative and providing real support for their customers.

This umbrella was a great replacement!
I am a terrible girlfriend in that the one time I borrow my boyfriend's umbrella, it gets stolen when I leave it in the cafeteria on campus when it was a very rainy day. And since it was a black umbrella, there's no way to find who stole it. That is why I bough this umbrella: to replace his for my stupidity.
I got him a black one again because it's a simple color that matches anything.
Also being a dumb person in general, it took me a hot minute to figure out how the heck to work the umbrella. After playing around with it, it was figured out how it works. I like that it inverts itself when opening/closing, makes where you set the umbrella less moist.
I like that is also is large when outstretched, giving you the most coverage with the most portability.
Overall, it's a good umbrella. It's large yet portable, does the job well, and makes moisture less of a problem inside. I reccommend this umbrella to anyone that needs a new umbrella and doesn't want their stuff to be as moist.

My son loves it.
We live in the rainy, gloomy state of Washington where it seems rain almost daily. My kids walk to and from bus stop so of course they need an umbrella. Purchased this one after their last one broke and it’s awesome! My son figured out if he pushes the umbrella into the ground it’s easier for him to close (he’s 8). It’s compact enough to fit in the side pocket of his backpack!

This is the worst umbrella I have ever bought.
From the very first click, everything is wrong.
When the umbrella opens I have to pull down the sides to make it an actual dome.
Then, the handle is horribly heavy. This makes it difficult to hold up steady.
Then, the umbrella doesn't close completely when the handle is clicked. I have to hold the button a manually pull the top down.
But the spring is so stiff that it is very difficult to get the top down all the way. I've ended up putting the top against a wall and pushing to get it to close.
I should just buy the $4 umbrellas that the street vendors sell when it rains.

Good size for sidewalks
I have been struggling to find an umbrella lately because most are either too small and cheap or too big and heavy. I live in Boston where we walk everywhere and an umbrella needs to be small enough to fit on the sidewalks but sturdy enough to withstand snow. This umbrella is a solid medium-sized umbrella, both collapsed and extended. It is small and light enough to fit in my backpack. The button that opens and closes the umbrella actually works fluidly and is probably my favorite thing about this, as I am a very petite woman and I always struggle with closing umbrellas.

Pretty & functional
I can’t wait for it to rain! When I broke my last umbrella, I decided to try AlumiGogo - they have everything! I have seen these on TV but have never really spotted one of these in a store. I am so excited with how pretty this is! It did rain a little last week, so I did get to use it for about 5 minutes to and from the car. Works great. Easy one push button to open & again to close. It’s just a tad bit hard to pull closed again, so if I could do 4.5 stars it would be there. But since it is so pretty, it gets 5! It makes me happy to open it to such a pretty flower :-)
