Very nice portable band saw, zips right though rather heavy steel. Now months later I have to say this saw is even better then I thought at first. EXCELLENT tool!

Overall good saw for the price
First saw ran roughly 5 minutes and the motor went up in smoke. AlumiGogo replaced the saw and so far the new one has been holding up well. Used it for about 20 minutes. Has plenty of power for what I need and light weight too. Not terribly impressed with the quality of the door to change blades. It's made of very thin metal with light duty hinges

I bought this product for the safety feature of the covered blades at the bottom. Work great.

It did great. I am happy with it
I've only used it once to cut some angle iron. It did great. I am happy with it

The light weight wins out over possible durability
I was initially torn regarding this saw. On the one hand, it is definitely a cutting beast and more than adequate for most jobs I have, or even might have. On the other hand, parts of it seem a bit fragile, which means that while it might be great for a homeowner that needs such a device, or for a contractor who does smaller jobs, it might not be sufficiently durable for the abuse tools seem to get on a larger construction site. Ultimately, I decided this saw deserved five stars because as a relatively portable band saw for smaller jobs, it is great. It might even be okay for a construction site in the hands of a person who typically takes really good care of their tools.
To help in cutting at up to 380 feet per minute (like, wow), this saw features six speeds. With speeds like this, this saw makes short work of most jobs suitable for a portable band saw.
Two things about this band saw concern me with respect to durability.
First, the door for accessing and changing the blade is relatively lightweight. It seems to me that the door could be relatively easily damaged in a drop, particularly if the door is open when the saw is dropped. My worst-case scenario is someone trying to change a blade while balancing the saw on a wooden sawhorse, and the saw slipping and falling on the open door. The door would at least bend, and the hinges might break if the saw is dropped multiple times.
Second, it seems that some of the weight reduction is from the materials used. Admittedly, there are band saws that weigh far more than this band saw that could probably be dropped four or five feet (and probably more) with hardly a dent, so the question appears to be a question of durability versus usability. Using a heavy band saw, particularly when trimming overhead pipes, is fatiguing, and often requires using several people as each person gets tired holding the saw over their head. This saw can definitely be used longer than other, heavier band saws.
One thing that would be nice to have is a case. The saw is hanging for storage until I can get a case. I am unsure about the saw banging around in the bed of my truck without the protection of a case, so until I get a case I either need to move the saw in the cab of my truck, or leave it on the hanging tool rack.
While I have my concerns about the fragility of parts of the saw, it is much easier to swing this saw over my head than other portable band saws, which is a definite plus. This band saw certainly has the power for about any job small enough to fit in the band saw opening. Thus far the saw has cut through everything I have tried. Sometimes cutting takes a bit of time, but the blade always cuts. I neglected to mention the LED light aligned with the cutting location. Nearly all of my newer tools include a bright LED light, which I consider a must for tools I buy. While I thought about four stars because of durability concerns, I ultimately gave this saw the benefit of any doubt. Sure, I might be a bit more gentle with this saw than some of my other saws (I've dropped my circular saw more times than I care to recall, and it continues to run after years of use), but the benefit is being able to swing the saw over my head more easily than other saws. So, five stars it is!

Happy with the cuts; like the features from Bosch
The Bosch GCB10-5 Deep-Cut Band Saw really rips through anything inside of 4+” with ease. In terms of performance, portability and power, I think it’s a very good tool you would expect from Bosch.
With the included blade, I ripped through rebar, angle iron and steel plate from a bench-mounted vice. On the low settings, I cut pieces of plastic pipe. Although the pipe required a few minutes of cleaning with a file, the cut was decent. The cuts were decent on the metal also.
I like the construction, weight and feel of the tool. For ease of control, movement and supporting the tool, I found the hand grips to be comfortable. The LED has a separate on/off switch. Installing the blade was easy and the pulleys and guides seem to be good on this one. The cord is plenty long for me and I like the wrench to adjust the guard is attached to the cord with a holder for easy adjustments. It also includes a hook for hanging although I ended up hanging it through the grip.
Of the complaints I can think of, I wasn’t impressed with the rigidity of the bottom blade guard/cover. When one side of the latch didn’t have clearance up against something on my bench properly, I started to lift and saw the one side twist and got worried I bent it.

The kindest cut!
This is a great little saw. It has incredibly easy set up and even easier blade changes. So far it's cutting very smooth, and, unlike some I've used in the past, it has a nice, manageable weight to it. By that I mean that after using it for a little while, my arms don't feel like they're going to fall off, which is a definite plus. I can't think of any real down sides to this. I'm very happy with it!

Surprisingly Lightweight and Sharp
Out of the box, this Bosch GCB10-5 Deep-Cut Band Saw is surprisingly lightweight. Light all Bosch tools I have owned, it's also well made and designed.
It cuts through a two-inch pipe like butter, leaving a clean and smooth edge, and it can handle up to almost 5". The led light gives you a clear look at the place you are cutting.
I recommend it!

Fantastic light weight Band Saw!
Fantastic light weight Band Saw! It's powerful and has a 4 3/4" opening for cutting large pipe, etc. Blades are easily changed as well.

I'm not surprised that this saw is awesome...19 out of 20 Bosch tools tend to impress me. I've only used a battery-powered Milwaukee in the past, which was also quite nice. Although there are no amazing features that surprised me much, it seems to have everything I can think of, except a plastic case (which can be appreciated or a burden, depending on how you store and how often you use your tools).
The tensioner is quick and easy and allows you to de-tension your blades when not in use. The hanging hook can be quite useful, but doesn't get in the way regardless, and there is a light that you can turn on and off independently of the motor, which shines right on your work piece. The two handles feel completely natural and keep your fingers out of the way of the blade.
One thing I was pretty impressed with is the extremely easy to adjust fence, which gives you much greater control when trying to make a precise cut. There is a funny plastic piece that attaches to the cord that holds the included hex key by friction (tight rubber); the hex key is all you need to make quick adjustments.
One thing that could probably be improved: that hex key holder is a strap on the power cord anyway. That holder should somehow double as a cord wrap. Seems like an easy thing to improve for future editions.
Overall a great tool. Very useful for anyone dealing with metal work...the thin kerf helps to saw quickly without wasting material and the long blade keeps the heat down, extending the life of the blade. Much, much better for cutting pipe, threaded rod, ...just about anything...than a reciprocating saw blade.
