A little basic for the price
It was slightly difficult to put together. The instructions were a bit sparse, but not too bad. You have to use a lot of strength to get the foot rest on, and its a real balancing act to line up the screws with their respective holes with the arm rests.
Its a bit basic for the price. You can't move the back or seat forward/back, and the seat is VERY deep, so I imagine most people would want or need to do this.
However, the seat itself is pretty comfortable.

Great Height - Uncomfortable Back and Lumbar
I love how high the seat goes! I have a very high standing desk and this chair gets me above it wonderfully. There are 2 things that kept me from giving it a better rating: 1. The foot rest doesn't come out far enough to actually rest your foot on, therefore, it is virtually useless. 2. The mesh back is very thin and doesn't give you any cushion between the very hard plastic lumbar support. I had to wedge a pillow between the plastic and the mesh but it doesn't help very much.

My initial assessment is that I am very impressed with the height. It really is 36" to the seat height at the highest setting. Mine is closer to 37 inches. I may do a follow up review in a few months or yrs. Even if the top chair part doesn't last, at least I will have the base and I can screw any office chair I want on to the extra long gas spring cylinder base. I'll probably make all kinds of upgrades to it over the yrs. I will probably replace the wheels with the roller blade style wheels very soon. The caster it comes with aren't bad, they're slightly better than what you'd get in an office supply store chair, but I have tile floor and I prefer the soft rubber wheels so I will get those soon. I might buy a bigger foot rest ring in the future. Some other reviewers mentioned that as well.

Very difficult to assemble
I received and assembled this chair last night. It took over an hour to assemble. It is difficult to align the 8 hex bolts with their receptacles embedded in the seat back and seat cushion -- you cannot see the hole into which the bolt is tightened. Then once aligned, the bolts cannot be really securely tightened without your feeling that you could easily strip the threads in the holes. This morning, while using the chair, raising the arm rest, I noticed that the forward, right-side cushion bolt had become detached. Fifteen minutes of work trying to realign the bolt with its hole was a wasted effort (i.e., couldn't get it to align and tighten).
The foot rest is too small in diameter; you have to bend your legs/feet backwards under the chair to use the foot rest.
The arm rest and seat cushion material are scratchy. This may not be an issue if you wear long sleeve shirts and slacks, but wearing short sleeves and shorts was decidedly uncomfortable.
On the plus side, this is a substantial chair, being quite roomy and sturdy (i.e., heavy). It is too tall for my counter height computer desk (36 inches), but may be just fine for drafting table height.
I will be returning the chair . . . if I can get it back in its box after disassembling it.

LOVE this chair
LOVE this chair! It is super comfortable. The mesh helps keep me from getting back sweat when I sit for a prolonged period of time. It is SUPERTALL. Freakishly so. If I raise it all the way up for fun, I need a stepstool to get in the chair. It would be wonderful if you were over 6ft tall. The arms fold up for easily getting out of the chair. I am glad I spent the extra money and bought this one.

Nice chair, but....
Chair is generally nice but dimensionally seems to be somewhat out of proportion. I'm 5'9" and the seat of the chair is so deep that I can't really sit back far enough to engage the back rest. The backrest has lumbar support but it's hard plastic with no padding between the hard plastic and the mesh fabric chair back. I may add a piece of foam between the plastic and the mesh so it doesn't dig into my back. Also, the foot ring seems about an inch or two too small in diameter to comfortably rest your feet. Otherwise the overall quality seem OK for the price.

Not worth the money.
This chair is overpriced for what it is. The height is good... But the construction of the mesh backing and "lumbar" support are subpar. The plastic strip used to pressure fit the mesh into the chair frame has come loose after only a few weeks of light use. (1-2 hours a day). Honestly it is not comfortable at all either.

Broke a wheel after only 1 week
The chair itself is very comfortable, especially since I have frequent, severe back problems...However, after just one week of lighter than normal use (I only use it for work, 3 Days/week) one of the wheels snapped. Bear in mind I also weigh well below the maximum stated weight limit. Fortunately, I was able to replace the wheel with one from an older chair I no longer use.

Easy to put together.
Feels good to sit in. Bottom ring for feet needs to be bigger.

Loved it, but it just does not hold up to use.
Love it, comfortable, large seat, the only thing I would enjoy the foot ring to be larger. Still a great product for the price! UPDATE - After 43 days the piston is wobbly, and today the left arm broke. I would not recommend this chair for every day use, its just not built well enough.
