Some good things, but may be disappointing to some people.
I’m mostly satisfied with my Quilo. But there are a few odd things. One is that they don’t seem to be offering replacement pads. So, for those who own or are thinking about purchasing, I found a place in Tucson (AZ) that will create a custom pad for $35. They are called Aircool. The Quilo has less fan power than I was expecting—although more air doesn’t always mean more cooling because of things like surface area and dwell time. The fan also blows air only through the left half of the louvers, but you can rotate them to direct air to the right, so this is not a big issue. Finally, the converter (110v to 24v) creates more heat than it seems like it should for such a low wattage. This works against cooling to some extent, but the Quilo isn’t a cooler that’s going to significantly change the temperature of even a small room anyway. It’s a cooler that feels really nice when you are sitting directly in front of it. Finally, the Kickstarter campaign didn't represent what this is fairly, so for people who don’t understand the limits of evaporative cooling, they might be disappointed. For example, the graphic comparing the energy cost of a window air conditioner to the Quilo. Apples and oranges. To cool even a small room, you would need a pad with a larger surface area, a stronger fan, and more water. The Quilo is somewhere between the larger portable evaporative cooler units and one of those little fans you carry around festivals with a spray mister. You have to be really near it to feel much. FYI, I'm in a very dry climate, so I'm using the Quilo in ideal conditions.

Absolutely love my Quilo......works like a charm! Highly recommended
Purchased my Quilo to replace an SPT SF-612R model evaporative cooler, which ended up being a total nightmare. Previous cooler had an internal water tank that had to be unscrewed every time for cleaning and VERY prone to bacteria and algae/gunk growth, not to mention several times the internal tank leaked its entire content of 2 gallons ALL over my carpet (cleanup/drying was a nightmare). Combed through AlumiGogo for a suitable replacement and came across the Quilo. After doing my research on this unit, seeing it was a finalist for the 2018 best air coolers and amazing customer service, answering all my questions from Dena, I decided on the Quilo and couldn't be happier w/ it. The water bowl is easily removable, has a particle filter and is VERY effective at cooling and providing moisture when it gets overly dry. You can easily add ice to the top tray to further enhance the cooling process as well. The fan coupled w/ the water fountain-like trickling noise made by the water pump also acts as a sort of white noise and helped me sleep nicely. VERY glad I came upon this product and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an evaporative cooler! Very pleased!

Great little portable "swamp" cooler.
Simple to operate and performs well as a small portable evaporative cooler. I add cold water from the fridge and some ice cubes in the top well to add to the cooling effect.
Really hope replacement evaporator pads are offered soon - as with any evap cooler, the pad is going to need changing out after a period of use.

Awesome upgrade from a Tower Fan
This is an awesome upgrade to a normal tower fan. My old Lasko tower fan stopped working and I chose to spend a bit more on this fan, with the 3in1 features as they advertised. So far am very satisfied. Firstly, it looks great, the material feels solid-not cheap plastic, was easy to move around and blows stronger wind than my original fan. This is my first time trying out an evaporative cooling type fan and I’m glad I did – after putting water into the tank and switching on the evaporative mode, the wind coming out of the unit is a few degrees cooler and there is no mist spitting out of the unit so the floor stays dry. Warning: You do need to be sitting in the direction of the wind to feel the colder air – it’s not like an air conditioner where the cold air will spread and stay in the room – the cold air lasts where the wind reaches, however, it has worked well for us and reaches most of our sofa area where we need it most. The fan is quiet and we could barely hear it running while watching TV. A negative about the cooling function is that it does make the air more moist, but when that happens we just switch off the cooling function and use it as a standard tower fan. They do advertise the unit to work as a humidifier in the winter – so will test that out later. I haven’t really monitored how many hours the water in the tank lasts but it was refilled after using it for about 2 days (around 4-5 hours a day). Overall, I’d say this is a good investment if you are looking for something cooler to replace your old fan. Although if you need to cool a bigger room and don’t want moist air, then opt for a bigger fan without the evaporative cooling option or spend more for a portable air conditioner instead.

Pretty good so far, lifespan and real test TBD
Ordered from the kickstarter, first time kicking starting anything. Received promptly which was awesome. Packaging is simple but nice. I am using one with the evaporative cooling and it seems like it's doing a decent job cooling, putting it in front of a vent that has a very weak flow. However, since I've received my fans the weather has been unusually cooler lately so they haven't been stress tested a ton. Also another thing that concerns me is that the water level lasted over 12 hours one night and another less than 8... I am always using the fan in turbo mode for the other modes are too weak of an airflow. I'm a bit concerned for the durability since it has a lot of parts that move or pump (the air circulator I particular) but so far so good.
Overall I'm pretty satisfied and would definitely consider buying one for each room in the house at a different time but maybe at a cheaper price point. Also, for what it's worth my girlfriend did ask when she saw I was typing this review if I was gonna complain that the fan made it too cold.
*also worth nothing that according to the quilo map I should get the "portable air conditioner" don't know what this is or means but I'm still using it with he evaporative cooling anyway. Would love to know if there's any difference or if I'm doing something wrong. Oh well.

If you live in a dry, super hot climate, then this portable evaporative cooler is for you!! I purchased mine on the Quilo website because they sent me a code for 10% off, and with free shipping it was a great deal. I ordered it on Friday and it arrived on Wednesday. That’s pretty good for free shipping. It’s not too heavy, and easy to set up and figure out how it works!! I really love it!! But people who live in humid areas should not buy it.

Quiet and Great on looks but low on performance.
It's good looking and super quiet with the correct mode but seriously lacks Capacity. It was not able to cool a room of 120 aft even when run continuously for 4 hours with cold water and ice cubes.
