Samsung 128GB EVO Select Comes Out Ahead In Mobile
This card has performed well in testing, both in my PC and in a Samsung Galaxy S8+. I have compared it to two other popular cards so you may make a determination based on your needs.
The cards tested are a
- Samsung 128GB EVO Select
- SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro
- SanDisk 128GB Ultra
- Samsung SM-G955U (Galaxy S8+) using A1 SD Bench
- Kingston FCR-HS3 card reader via USB3 port using CrystalDiskMark 5.2.1 x64 (UWP)
The Samsung 128GB EVO Select and SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro performed comparably at the PC with the SanDisk 128GB Ultra dropping behind in write speed.
- Samsung 128GB EVO Select 93MB/s read and 80MB/s write
- SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro 93MB/s read and 82MB/s write
- SanDisk 128GB Ultra 90MB/s read and 17MB/s write
On the Galaxy S8+ the speeds really spread out. The SanDisk won for read speed here, but the Samsung clearly beat them in write speeds.
- Samsung 128GB EVO Select 59MB/s read and 40MB/s write
- SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro 22MB/s read and 8MB/s write
- SanDisk 128GB Ultra 66MB/s read and 16MB/s write
For the mobile platform or basic needs, the Samsung is the clear winner here. At a competitive price and with performance above the competition, I highly recommend this card.

Amazing card and it's a Steal for the price!
Great micro SD card. I bought this for my Galaxy S8 and Note 4 since I keep running out of memory clicking lot of pics.
I specifically needed a UHS-I speed grade U3 for 4K video recording. This works great with my phone.
The read speed around ~93MB/s little less than the advertised 100MB/s. But the write speed was ~66MB/s which is more than the advertised 60MB/s which is amazing. It meets the requirements for U3 speed class.
The cost is lowest I've seen among all branded companies for a U3 speed class micro SD cards.
I have no complaints with the product and I highly recommend everyone to buy this.

I tested both cards driving locally and they both recorded fine, the cards are easy in and out (if ...
I purchased BOTH the 128 MB and the 64 MB Samsung EVO select micro cards, exclusively for my GoPro 5 Black.
I put the 128 MB micro card in and get 5Hr 38Min recording time at 1080 res 60 FPS/ wide. At 4K on the 128 MB micro card I get 4Hr 18Min recording time at 4K 30 FPS(max for 4k)/wide.
On the 64MB micro card I get 2Hr 49Min recording time at 1080 res 60 FPS/ wide. At 4k on the 64 MB I get 2Hr 08Min recording time at 4K 30 FPS(max for 4k)/wide.
I did not get paid for this review, just a regular guy going on a road trip and wanted video using my GoPro. I tested both cards driving locally and they both recorded fine, the cards are easy in and out (if you have a little bit of finger nail) the videos downloaded rather quickly, BUT that may be because I used a Lexar USB card reader. I DID NOT use the included SD card reader that came with each micro card. The videos looked great on my computer (bought 2 years ago) and on my TV (through the USB slot. I also own a Lexar card and a SanDisk card and quite honestly, none is better than the other, visually, for me anyway. (I have normal eyesight and do not wear glasses) The price for these is awesome and I bought these because Lexar decided to jack their prices up on theirs. For the GoPro Hero5 Black, save yourself some $$ and buy these Samsung micro cards, you'll Thank yourself later and maybe be able to afford another accessory for the GoPro!!! I hope this helps somebody, because I read HUNDREDS of reviews looking for 1 that all this info in review, that was recent, and wasn't a "paid for review" This is like my 3rd review EVER!!!

Amazing Speed for the Price
Not sure what problems some other people had, maybe doing crystal mark through their phone via a usb cable instead of directly in a desktop? I got faster than advertised speeds, great value at $22 for 64GB (see photo). I have the 128GB version too, even slightly faster.
You have to spend double or triple this price to get much closer to 100/100 speeds, the top you can currently get with an SD card- Sandisk Extreme Pro, which are more popular in the non-Micro format for pro photographers and such.

The fastest and cheapest 128gb microSD. Get them while they are available.
This has to be a price mistake, this is the fastest MicroSD 128gb available, and it's also the cheapest. U3 ftw! I received 2, and they both performed at 99mb read, and 92mb write!
After the original two arrived, I placed an order for two more, and originally the shipping time was 1-2 months, but I was notified today (25th) that they are shipping today. So go ahead and get your orders in now and wait, it's well worth it!

Samsung MicroSD Card for reliability
Samsung MicroSD Card for phone, camera, tablet... This little card foes it all and does it very well. If by chance you need to use it in a full size slot, an adapter is included for that purpose.
This card claims to read at up to 95MB/s; I have NOT tested it. It does meet U1 standards as per Samsung for devices that need that level of cards.
Samsung has long made high quality MicroSD cards and supports them well; I have never had one fail from normal usage. I do recommend them and especially so at AlumiGogo's current price.

Works fine in Note 8
I purchased this for my Samsung Note 8 and it works fine right out of the package. Obviously, I don’t need the absolute fastest card because I’m not shooting 4K video and burst photos are automatically saved to the phone to allow fastest performance. But it does move files back and forth bery quickly and handles all my photography needs just fine. Also happy with the price. I doubled my phone’s storage at a nominal cost.

Excellent for Gopro Hero 6
1st time I buy a non sandisk in 6 years. (128GB version)
I am getting 75 to 80 MB/sec write speed and 85 to 90 MB/sec read speed (Vs 90 and 100 advertised by Samsung)
I bought it for my gopro hero 6, and I successfully recorded a 1hour 30minutes footage on a single file. I filmed my room, not a lot of movement.
Wish I had 85 MB/sec write speed, that's why I am only giving 4 stars.
The SD adapter for microSD is MUCH MUCH sexier than sandisk (you are probably saying "who cares" but wait till you get your hands on one). The material feels high end and the recording security switch is more precise than sandisk. The micro SD is harder to take out of it, I fear I could damage it on the long run if I'm not careful.
At 40$ the price is much lower than the 55$ requested by the sandisk for a V30. I think in January 2018 this card has among the best price/performance/size for a hero 6.

Genuine Samsung device, faster write than specs say
I received a genuine Samsung microSD sold by AlumiGogo. In Windows I got a consistent 33MB/s write speed. The reported capacity is genuine (29.8GB binary standard formatted FAT32).
With a 10 year warranty Samsung is a solid choice. There are faster cards than the Evo line out there now for close to the same money, however.

Large card at a very good price.
I bought this for use in my Nintendo Switch for additional download space and it works great. A firmware update was required to use the SDXC card technology and for some reason it only registers as 119GB but that is still a lot of extra space. Considering the price point of this card here on AlumiGogo it will be well worth it.
