It's worth it! I love it! I painted the tubes to match my room.
I almost returned this product because there appeared to be missing pieces, but they were there! I'm really glad I kept it, it's super cute! I actually did a little modification and spray pained the tubes, legs, and toppers gold to match the theme of my room. It's not super wide so it fits perfectly where I needed it. I love it! It's pretty light, so it, of course, is a little wobbly, but it's tucked away in the corner so it's not getting knocked around. I'd definitely recommend this product for the price.

Expected little but was quite pleased!
I actually only ordered one of these stands but AlumiGogo accidently sent me two. I liked the first one so much, I decided to keep it & pay for the duplicate without a second thought.
These stands are crazy easy to put together [no directions needed] & the top threads worked [sat/screwed in] perfectly. Unlike several other reviews that stated they did not at some point.
The base has 4 small, 2" nubs/feet that can be slightly unscrewed as to level & steady your unit. The color is black & the underside of each shelf is fairly dark as well. [i mention this since most affordable units sold have that terrible looking, unpainted, unfinished particle board underneath] Each shelf can also safely hold up to 10 pounds.
Now, I'm not saying these stands are exquisite by means. But, if you're looking for a quality, decent looking, affordable stand[s] for your home, or, bathroom, like me, this will certainly fit the bill!
These stands also appear to have a decent, protective glossy coating that seems to shield these stands quite well from the constant barrage of humidity our shower hits them with. Atleast, there's no apparent damage or warping whatsoever from the moisture to date. However, we always use the bathroom fan when showering so may be helping.
Lastly, have a black or dark brown magic marker on hand just case you notice any imperfections upon assembly.
I really don't think you'll regret your purchase regarding price or quality! Overall, good product!

she got annoyed. I retorted "it was only $15" and she ...
My son has a bunch of action figures that he likes to display on his desk. I want him to use the desk only for doing homework so I have been looking for a cheap display solution. I came across this and at $15, I figured there wasn't much to lose.
When my wife found out that I had ordered a piece of furniture without consulting her, she got annoyed. I retorted "it was only $15" and she seemed to calm down a bit. When I was done putting it all together in 10 mins, I could see that she was actually pleasantly surprised. When you are close to the product and touch it, you can tell that it's cheap material. No way around it. Particle boards and plastic tubing and all. But once you assemble it and start putting things on the shelf and stand back a little bit, the thing actually could easily pass for a $100 piece of furniture.
My son's desk is now clean. That's all I wanted.

The best cheap tower shelf you can expect. Malyasia, not China!
First up for those politically minded, this is NOT from China, but Malaysia.
I would have preferred a lighter color (like the 99152 set they make) but it's as described. The chipboard/particle board construction is typical for this grade of furniture. The tubes are cheap plastic, but sturdy enough as long as you don't try to overload the whole thing. You can cram it full of paperback books and it'll hold up.
Instructions are decent enough pictographs, with typical "Engrish": "hamber" instead of hammer for instance. I didn't need a hammer, I just gently placed the "caps" in place and stepped on top of the board to ease it in. A little "heel bounce" and they popped in fine, no tools needed.
The laminate is also typical. 5 of 6 sides covered, but the shelf bottoms are unfortunately not also laminated. There's a slight overlap on one "edge" of the shelves. Not very noticable, but make sure to put them all at the "back" of the shelf for best viewing. Not necessary, it's minor, but worth noting ahead of time. You CAN unscrew the poles and repack it if needed. You CAN assemble it with just 1/2/3 shelves in place. You can NOT make 2 smaller shelves though, not even 2 cubes, unless you add extra material from somewhere else.
As another review notes, the top shelf isn't designed to screw in the "right" way. You can just put it on top and the recess will hold it in place well enough. What you are supposed to do though, is assemble the whole thing, then counter screw the poles into the top, then tighten the other poles "up" to the top shelf.
For one and a quarter "Andrew Jacksons", it's the best you'll find in a new shelf.
Now how about a click on that "helpful" button?

Gets the job done, for the most part..
When I received this shelf I started putting it together right away and noticed that on every piece of wood there was either a small-medium size chip in one corner, again on each piece. The dings weren't terribly large so I just positioned each chipped corner to the far back side of the shelf and colored the lighter wood in with a sharpie so it wasn't noticeable. It works- just wouldn't order again or recommend.

it's nice and easy to put together. I love it. I use it as a terminal stand so I removed a section of the shelf out so it's perfect for me to use when swiping clients card for payment.

Perfect for the space
I needed a shelf for the corner of my room near my entertainment stand to hold books and other collectibles so I could finally pull them out of a box and display them. It is perfect for this purpose. I actually really love it and think it added a lot to my living space. I wouldn't necessarily suggest having it out in a space where there is not at least one wall to back it against since it is not super heavy, but as a corner shelf it is perfect. It was crazy easy to put together (which I knew because I purchased a TV stand from the same company) and great for a graduate student apartment. If I had another corner I'd get a second one in a heartbeat.

A must have!!
I bought this to remove the eyesore brown huge sidetable in my living room. It didn't go with anything or the color scheme and was very noticeable when you walk into my red black and grey living room. This piece I was somewhat skeptical about at first after reading several of the reviews stating that it was not sturdy and that it was flimsy type material. I have to disagree once installed it together . It's is very easy to put together it isn't flimsy at all it is very sturdy I have several photos and a candle warmer sitting on it. It is perfect in the corner that I have it sitting in next to the air condition and between the couch and the wall I love the color it fits in perfectly with my color scheme and I will be ordering something maybe for the bathroom and also for my husband's man cave to stack several of his items that he had in the window sill. I do recommend this for other people I would like to have a least one or two more in the future it is priced perfectly and he came quick because I have AlumiGogo Prime. By the way yes ladies you can put it together no tools needed so you dont have to call on the hubby.

Cheap and Not Worth the Price
This item was shipped timely and was delivered on a Sunday to my surprise. If you are looking for something classy or high end as it is very cheesy. It is a very simple, basic and plain and more suited for a room that is not in a common area such as a closet, a child's room, laundry room or garage storage or it will cheapen anything that is sophisticated. It was very simple to put together; took about 5 minutes. I absolutely do not believe that press wood (basically wood dust) and a a few pieces of plastic pipe is worth $30.00.

Works as a display shelf
This shelf is very tall and narrow, exactly like the measurements state. Because it is so tall and narrow it is top heavy so I recommend not putting anything breakable or valuable above the second to bottom shelf. You do not have the entire 11.5" x 11.5" of space on each shelf since the plastic poles take up a good 2" x 2" on each corner. Each shelf itself is very tall, about 13.25" of clearance.
It took me maybe 10 minutes to assemble, it is quite easy. The pipe does not run solidly through the wood shelves, each tier is secured by screwing sections of the plastic pipes together to pinch the wood in place. The wood is pressed board, and as you would expect from any shipped piece of furniture there were minor surface scratches upon arrival which can be covered with the items you put on the shelf.
This shelf works perfectly for light weight items. I have this shelf next to my TV to hold a collection of Disney Infinity figurines and other game related trinkets. When sitting on the couch you can see the plain underside of the top 2 shelves, I wish they would have double coated each shelf in the dark espresso.
