These shades are fantastic and the price is even better. Installation is simple, they fit perfectly inside the windows. We ordered six and they are consistent in size and color, all look pretty much identical. The magnets work perfectly, we have had them for several months and never had any issues. They shade from the sun, not block it, exactly what we wanted. The gold color is very nice, almost has a burlap look and feel to it. Best of all, no cords! With two small kids and six windows, these cordless shades were an amazing find. I took two pictures of the same spot, one during the day and one at night.

Made them attach to our French doors, magnetically
For the price, we're really happy with them. Initially we thought these were magnetic in the sense that you could magnetically attach them to, say, our French doors. We were about to return them when the wife had an idea of just getting some magnets and attaching them with those.
So, here are some pictures of my DIY project. First, of course, I made sure a fridge magnet would stick to the French door. We ended up using the 4-pack DIYmagnets. Neodymium. Holds 70lbs each. I don't know if AlumiGogo will let me link to a different product, but here goes:
Strong Round Base Neodymium Pot Magnets - Bulk Pack of 4 - 70+ LB Strength - Countersunk Hole with Mounting Screws https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LWTZ75Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xeFJybJKN68H3)
I drilled one hole in each mounting bracket and attached the magnets to the bracket with a small machine screw & nut.
Very happy we didn't drill into our French doors.

A good option for your window.
We needed an inexpensive shade for our rental house that would allow privacy, but I wanted something with a minimal profile. I'm pleased with this purchase. The installation is easy, only a screwdriver is required to place brackets after which the curtain is held in with the included bolts--done in minutes. I like the diffuse light that comes through the fabric in the afternoon, the material still lets in a fair amount of sunshine. The magnets in the shade are a nice idea --- no dangling cord to raise or lower the blind- however I wonder how long they will last, they don't seem strong. There is also no way to alter the length of the blind, it can bunch at the bottom when fully extended. Overall, for a small investment, I'm glad to have this easy option to quickly get a way manage privacy/control light in our window.

Poor quality, but technically functional shade.
Pros: They're functional, and they filter light.
Cons: Terrible quality and aesthetics. Visible staples everywhere stapling the fabric to the headpiece. Terrible screws for the brackets. Spend a dollar at the local hardware store and buy some real screws. Loose threads everywhere, and the strips of magnets peeking out from their slots in the fabric because this manufacturer didn't want to take the extra step of closing those holes up like a professional.
Lastly, it should be obvious-but bears mentioning-if you got one of the 'light filtering' versions, it does not offer privacy at night. Physics just doesn't work that way when the light source is now in your home, and not outside. I'm dumbfounded by the number of people claiming it somehow defies the laws of physics. And, this material is super thin, so it is close to invisible at night when looking in from outdoors if you have bright lights in your home.

beautiful. I love it
The final result: beautiful. I love it. It gives privacy when needed, and is easy to put up or down. It is long enough to double up for complete privacy, and clever enough to fold in different ways to allow more light. I absolutely love it.
I had to take off one star because of the installation though. I almost took off 2 stars, but love the outcome, so am giving it a break.
The size of this shade is exactly as described and fits exactly into my window. That said, the brackets that I had to bolt in added a few cm, basically making my window frame too small to fit the wooden top that secures the shade. I had to saw off parts of it to get it to fit. Thankfully, only the wooden piece that is hidden under the shade had to be sawed off, so the end result remained a beautiful shade.
So, installation sucked - I give it a 1 star.
But the look is gorgeous - 5 stars.
Overall, I'm satisfied enough to give the whole thing 4 stars.

Good concet, bad execution
These are SUPER chintzy. I mean like, I wouldn't want them in my basement! I just got my kitchen redone and needed a shade/valance to block the evening sunlight while I'm cooking. I like the magnetic concept of these and they were super easy to install, but man do they look CHEAP. There is a plastic strip that holds the fabric to the top bar and there are visible metal staples holding it on. It just looks really awful. I would have totally bought these for my whole house if they had looked a little more classy. I'll leave them up for now, until I find something else, but I am going to have to either cover or paint that top strip.
Moral: don't buy these if you care AT ALL about aesthetics.

Works great and blocks most of light out
Bought for my window above kitchen sink. Works great and blocks most of light out, but does still allow small through without compromising your privacy. The reason I only gave 4 stars is the top of the shade you can see the staples they used to attach the fabric. The rest of the blind looks great and the magnetic function works great. However I did have to purchase a valance in order to hide the top. An additional expense I did not anticipate when I purchase this

For the price, these were exactly what I wanted: clean style that provides a finished look under our drapes but still lets in plenty of light. NOTE: they are pretty sheer...if you had these over windows and had lights on at night you would see through them very clearly. I like the cordless style, too...I wasn't sure how I felt about the magnets, but they are so simple and easy to use that it's worth it, esp for the price.

The shades were easy to hang and look very nice
The shades were easy to hang and look very nice. My only complaint is that they are made of fairly thin material and lets in a bit more light than anticipated. The magnetic closures though work great and I don't have to have strings hanging around.

Quality control very ineffective
Unfortunately not what I expected. As others have said, you only have a couple of choices as to where hanging level is. One too high, the other too low. The valance was mounted on the wrong side per the installation diagram. The staples also show at the top. Very Disappointed. My fault for not reading more reviews.
