I loved these brushes the few times I used them. Unfortunately, while painting on location, I misplaced them. The good news is that they were reasonably priced so I can replace them. I think these are a great buy for the money. Aside from a larger wash brush, the set includes all you need for watercolor painting.

and I can only say I think they are super great for watercolors
I've read the mixed reviews on these brushes, and I can only say I think they are super great for watercolors. The brushes hold their point, wet and dry and there is no bristle spread. They hold a good amount of water, and I have 3 sets...one for my tabletop, one for my carry-kit, and another set I just ordered to try with water soluble oils. Save a Kolinsky mink and order these!
4-26-2016-Posting an update to my review..I started watercolors about 9 months ago and I think I've purchased every brush, including Series 7 W&N Kolinsky, and these are still my favorite brushes. They have much more snap than the Kolinsky's, and they hold their point great when wet. I could care less if the fibers stain...the brushes are great, but wish they came above a size 12

These were perfect. You should run your fingers through the brushes of course when you get them, and they are soft and the sizes are accurate. They stain easily though. I really love these brushes, and they were a great price for the value.

A Very Nice Quality Brush Set at a Reasonable Price! 5 Stars
The Grace Water Color brush set is a nice brush set for the beginning to amateur artist. The quality of the brush set is wonderful for a very reasonable price. This water color brush set was purchased for my college age daughter who is a hobby type artist. She dabbles in water color painting and her art teacher recommended this particular set. She reports she loves the brushes and they have held up great so far with no shedding. They appear to the eye to be well made and look much more expensive than they are. We looked at quite a few sets at our local hobby and art supply stores before deciding on this set. The brush set is just as nice as sets that we looked at that cost three to four times as much!
I'd highly recommend the purchase of the Grace Art Water Color Brush Set based on our experience with them

... the only good thing I can say about these is that they were inexpensive. The hairs stain easily, they don't keep a good tip... stray hairs start popping off to the side (which is extremely irritating when you are painting detail... who wants those stray little lines?). After only a few days of using these I couldn't stand it any longer and got other ones that were a better quality. You get what you pay for.

My set didn't hold its shape well, and the bristles stained badly after first use. Some problems with the tips splitting apart and making stray lines. I think they're usable if you know they tend to do that (you get what you pay for,) but I plan to find some brushes that are more user friendly and let my son have these.

I have been painting with these brushes for a while now. I have never had a set of brushes that were not for childrens paints before. I admit... I love these brushes. I have been using them with watercolors, and they seem to be just fine. I am very happy with this purchase. Thank you AlumiGogo, for prime day. I may never have bought a good set of brushes for myself if they had not been on sale at a very very good price. I am enjoying painting for the first time in over thirty years. Nice brushes!

Great number and quality for the price!
For the price, these are really great brushes. A lot of times with cheap brushes will have awful bristles... These bristles are soft and have great flexibility for watercoloring. The brushes have lasted through a number of projects so far, and I think they will continue to.

I love the pointed tipped brushes for fine details. They are my favorite water color brushes I have ever purchased.

Great for a beginner
First time buying brushes and I am new to watercolor but these brushes so far are amazing.
I use masking fluid and was able to wash it out with no problem (Mind you I didnt let it sit once i was done I washed it out right away)
I do wish there was a much more thinner brush for details but these are great for a beginner!
