Only hose on the market that meets "commercial grade" standard
If you are looking for a hose that does what it says, than I strongly recommend the Stanley Fatmax product. As a general building contractor for the last 15 years, I have experimented with a lot of different tools and exposed them to conditions that really challenges their limitations and reliability. However, I only write reviews on products that I find to be superior, or those that are complete garbage. Anything in between isn’t worth discussing. I have been using the Fatmax line of products for several years on my jobsites and they have responded very well to the abuse that I put them through. This polyfusion hose by Stanley is the only one that I can truly consider to be “commercial gradeâ€. Those manufacturers making similar claims such as Apex & Gilmour have proved to be a complete waste of money and don’t seem to last more than a month or two before I have to toss them in the garbage. This Fatmax hose has vehicles and equipment driving over it all day long, gets constantly dragged & strung around multiple corners, and regularly exposed to sharp and jagged objects without a single failure. I also find my workers being more productive by not having to constantly undo kinks all day long like they do with other products. I detach and reconnect hoses daily which causes the hose bib gasket to wear out quickly and start leaking. This is the most common failure I have experienced over the years with every hose, but it has not happened with the Fatmax. I have been so impressed with this hose that I just bought 2 more in black as shown in the photo. I’m not quite sure what polyfusion technology is, but others in this industry might want to consider following Stanley’s lead. As a contractor I expect my tools to last and perform as advertised. As a homeowner you should be aware of what tools are worth purchasing.

Best hose on the market
This hose is awesome!!!! Living in the northern US cold country, we have always used rubber hoses because they aren't so stiff. This hose is always flexible, whatever the polyfusion is, must contribute to its flexibility
I also like that the psi rating is 500, my pressure will never get that high but we always leave our hose on at the spigot (with a shut off valve at the nozzle) in the summer time, lesser PSI hoses have exploded.
Also great to know that this hose is drinking water safe.
Thanks Stanley, this is a great product, exactly what I have come to expect from Stanley Fat Max.

Well Built, Easy to Attach, But It's Not Kink Proof
It may have "anti-kink technology", but that doesn't mean it won't kink. I can understand a hose kinking after years of use, but this one started kinking the first month. Other than the occasional kinking, which is easy to "un-do", the hose appears to be very well constructed. The fittings are easy to use and appear to be heavy duty. Some reviewers have commented that their fittings were loose and came apart during their first use; that doesn't appear to be a design issue, as mine work fine, but a QC issue for Stanley during assembly. Despite the occasional kinking as I drag it around my car, I really like the hose; it's soft, the connections are heavy duty and it appears to be built to last for years. Four stars, if it didn't kink, it would be an easy five.

Even my wife likes this hose
It's only been 6 weeks since I got this 50' hose and I paid less than $30, but so far my wife and I like it. For years I've been buying costco 100' hoses because they were cheap and convenient. The hoses sold at costco are crap, They kink and don't last but a year or two. While my wife wasn't initially fond of the yellow fatmax color, she really likes the hose. We had new landscaping (sod & shrubs) put in this summer which requires daily watering and she finds the fatmax much easier to work with than the costco hose. The fatmax is easier to handle with fewer kinks (the kinks often work themselves out), and it is easier to roll up when done. No more costco hoses for me. I'll gradually replace them with fatmax when I find them on amazon at a good price.

Because this hose is so light, soft, and flexible it's very easy to pull it around the yard, thread it between obstacles, and coil it back up when you're done. You're also less likely to damage plants--you won't give up so quickly on positioning the hose away from them, and since it's lighter and softer than the typical hose, you won't cause as much harm when you do drag it across a corner of a flower bed.
Of course it kinks, rather readily, in fact, but the kinks are very easy to remove. I'm usually able to get a kink out by simply rotating the barrel of the hose from wherever I happen to be standing, without having to backtrack, and without having to bend down and fight with it. And if you pay a little attention, it's pretty easy to prevent kinks before they happen: with this hose you can feel, as it occurs, the tension due to the "spiral torsion," that is inevitable as you curve and turn any hose. Since you can feel the torsion develop, you can correct for it immediately by twisting the hose in the opposite direction.
After several months of regular use I've had no leaks or other problems, and am still able to coil it back up neatly (by my standards anyway) with only modest effort. I wish it were a little cheaper, I wish it didn't kink at all, and I wish it came in royal blue, but this is a fabulous hose.

Works so much better than my old one
I have little knowledge of hoses ( 67 year old female) other than I had bought a inexpensive hose this year and it turned out to be a mess.. leaked from both ends, I added new rubber sealswashers (?) to each end.. but it leaked even worse, I finally got the main leak taken care of with good old fashioned duck tape... but decided to break down and get a decent hose.
I did a lot of reading of reviews before I purchased this.. and I am 100 percent happy with this hose. It was easy hook up to the faucet , but when I put the sprayer on the other end, a little water did spray out no matter how hard I tightened it... but I added one of the rubber seals/washers , probably using the wrong name for them, but that stopped the leak immediately.
The pressure is super, no issues with that, it coils up nicely , not getting any kinks in it so far and is light enough for me to carry with no issues.
Thumbs up from me.. it was worth the the investment after purchasing two inexpensive ones in the last year that kinked, leaked and just plain was a pain. For me, this is like the Cadillac of hoses... (said with a smile)

as good hoses are hard to find
I was excited to try this product, as good hoses are hard to find. It was expensive when I purchased it about 1 year ago (about $50 for 50'), but I'm willing to pay for quality and based on the ratings and description it seemed to fit the bill.
I initially quite liked it - largely because it is much lighter than others I've tried. It didn't last though, and after only a short time the coupling showed a significant amount of corrosion - basically fusing to whatever it's attached. I've owned many hoses and have ever seen anything like it.
After using it this week, the coupling broke clean off of the hose while I was using a nozzle. The material underlying it appears to be plastic, so it's no wonder. Spend your money elsewhere.

Great quality build
Update: The black handle separated from the hose, and due to the way it's designed, it can't be put back on. This means I can't utilize the threads and attach it to any nozzles or sprinklers. I believe this happened because I had the water on with a nozzle attached and the warmth from the sun built pressure that exploited the defect. Stanley's parent corporation, Bond, has not honored their warranty. I started a claim and got a response, but no follow up and no sign of a replacement. Very disappointed, I paid almost $100 for this hose (the price has since dropped) and have had positive experiences with Stanley products in the past. This hose failed and their customer service failed as well.
Great quality build, the hose is nice and flexible (not like the really stiff and difficult to roll up/move around ones), not too heavy, and really good at resisting kinks.

I thought such a long hose would be unmanageable, but it is easily moved around by this little ol lady

This is the worst hose I've ever had
I bought this hose be cause it claimed to be kink free. This is the worst hose I've ever had. Every time I try to use it I'm in for the battle of my life. It's like a big yellow snake coiled up and ready to strike. I can't get it uncoiled no matter what I try. Very, very disappointed. Waste of money!
