on 2016-11-01 Outstanding Crossbow for the money
Xbow arrived well packaged, no damaged parts whatsoever. Keep in mind, assembly is required, it comes with the bow, stock, scope already mounted, quiver, 3 arrows with field tips, foot stirrup, and quiver mount. The trigger is very nice and quite light compared to some firearms. The overall balance of the xbow is a tad front heavy. I have the version with the cranking device (Acudraw), and man, it is awesome. ANYONE can shoot it, it takes barely any effort to crank so even a little kid and still shoot the bow and not have to deadlift 175lbs. It does make it a little more expensive, but it goes with the saying buy once cry once. You can also crank the bow silently without engaging the lock, however, should you let go of the crank, it can cause injury. The crank lock is to prevent that issue from happening but does make some noise (still pretty quiet though). You shouldn't have to worry about noise, the bow shoots faster than most compound bows out there, deer will be hit before it can react to the noise.
Assembling the bow is easy and straightforward. You might have difficulty putting the bow into the stock, however, I just put the main bolt in and through leverage screwed the entire bow onto the stock with the hex key provided. Videos online show that you'll have to wiggle it in, i tried this but the tolerances are very tight (which is a good thing), so i had to use some mechanical advantage to aid my assembly.
Accuracy, the bow is accurate and i'm nervous to shoot under 20yrds since i clipped some of the vanes of my arrows when i shot one right after the other. Arrows aren't cheap so I don't want to damage any if I don't have too. At 30 yrds, results are repeatable, 1 inch groups, still need to be careful about arrows hitting one another. I've shot the bow out to 50 yards and it groups nicely (within 2" group). The scope it comes with should suffice, not anything to write home about compared to a rifle scope, but it does its job. It is clear and the arrow drop lines are quite on the money. Overall, accuracy is good enough to kill anything within 50 yards. I'll try and take it out 100 yrds someday when I have time just for curiousity. Compared to a rifle, it's obviously not as good, however, in archery, accuracy issues are double that of rifles. I normally shoot under MOA (minute of angle), so having groups like these for an xbow is acceptable to me. I doubt anyone is going to try and take a deer at 100 yrds with an xbow anyway
I also used froglube (plant based gun lubricant) for the rails (works awesome) and on metal parts to prevent rust and ensure smooth action. So far I haven't had any issues. I do use wax on the strings though.
You can also buy two additional items that add on to the bow. I bought both the Dampener and the BowJax. Keep in mind, I do not think it reduces the noise that much at all. However, I bought them to reduce the stress and vibrations from shooting to prolong the life of the bow, which I believe is the main purpose. If you look at videos online, they certainly do their job.
Bow Jax - TenPoint BowJax 2012-2013
Noise Dampening Kit - TenPoint String Dampening System
I did my research on a lot of other xbows and i do believe this one is the best value for the money. Should last a lifetime and be available for kids and elderly to shoot also. It is also very compact when drawn back and is pretty light. The power is expected and the speed is sufficient. There are other xbows that TenPoint also offers, however, in comparison, I do not think adding another $1000 is worth an extra 10FPS (i.e. Tenpoint Venom Xtra, look it up, the bows look down near identical). I prefer function over anything and this bow brings the goods at a good price point. I've looked into Barnett 410, but reviews on it weren't too promising (no crank device, limbs splitting, not as compact). I get that people like speed, but at that point, it doesn't make a deer any deader. Overall, the xbow delivers the goods and performs on par or better than other xbows at or above its price point.

Spot on at fourth plus yards.
This bow is wicked. Spot on out of the box. I got the bow with the acucock. It is a wind up system to draw the bow back. It is so incredibly easy to draw the bow. If you have any any any issues cocking the bow. You need the system. Or if your in a tree stand and you need to draw the bow on stand. However, it is not quiet. I would probably not get the winding acudraw. I would get the draw that winds into the stock. It is faster and quieter. But the bow is killer. I would not trade. I was practicing when I got the bow. I shot it 60 yards into a two by four and it pierced through the other side. With experience, I could take a 80 yard shot and not question it.

Quality all the way
This is my first crossbow so I did a fair amount of research before buying. Tenpoint is one of the best. Safety is a high priority in the design and in the literature, which I really appreciate. The prestrung bow section must be installed by the buyer, which is a plus in my mine as this process helps you to learn and understand the bows features. The dry fire inhibitor is another great feature. The ACUdraw is very easy to use. It not only makes it easy to cock the bow, but the method ensures a well centered string, which improves the accuracy and repeat ability of the bow. My first three shots were all within a 1" circle at 20 yards. I was blown away by the accuracy of this bow. You do need to buy string wax and lube for the bow as this is not part of the "kit". These would be inexpensive items that should be part of any kit, the only drawback I've found so far. The only other issue I had is that the included quiver can be installed parallel with the stock or perpendicular. There is no guidance given as to choosing one over the other. Unless you have prior experience you won't know which way is best. If you were to buy the optional Steady Eddy mono pod, then you could not install the quiver perpendicular to the stock. I am also quite pleased with the included scope. Take the time to read all of the literature and be sure you understand all aspects of this bow and you should have a great time using it, I know I am.

Best Crossbow I have owned.
Best Crossbow I ever shot. Its Smooth, quiet and most of all Accurate. Don't shoot the same dot at 30 yards unless you want to buy a lot of bolts. Season starts Saturday, can't wait to give it a try.

Best of the Best!!
Just got the tenpoint turbo gt and man I am pumped about this crossbow. Hands down one of the best!! Right out the box this thing shoots straight and super accurate. I grouped 3 in a 1/2’ spread “very impressive†right out the box. The crossbow looks sexy and feels even better, camo is on point. I got the accur draw also and I could crank it with a pinky, super easy. My 5 year old could crank it with ease. If you have had a injury and need something easy on the body this thing is the answer. The scope is super clear and great view, I added bow jacks and the sound damper system. It’s is quite for sure, I shot it before and after and I recommend adding those to it. Definitely recommend this bow to anyone out there looking for a great crossbow. What else could you ask for out of a crossbow. I can’t wait till season hits so I can get my first kill with the turbo gt.

Fast shipping. Quality bow, exactly what can be expected from TenPoint. Dead on out of the box. ACU 50 is a home run no lost cocking rope.

This bow ROCKS!
I have hunted with compound bows for years and finally decided to try a crossbow. I am impressed how accurate it is right out of the box.
Just a little fine tuning and i was shooting 2" groups from 60 yards. The bow comes as a kit with a scope and 3 bolts and a built in rope cocker.
Extremely easy to load and shoot. From reading some of the other reviews, there were complaints about the scope, but i wouldn't change anything
on this bow. I probably will invest in some lighted nocks though. Can't wait for October.

Shoulda bought this long ago
The Turbo GT is a beast. After a few shots to dial it in this thing is dead on both right AND left handed. No more being turned the wrong way when that deer shows up where he’s not expected. Alittle louder than expected but at 35 yards my deer never had time to react to the shot. The acudraw also is a blessing even tho I didn’t think I needed it. Well worth the money

Superb crossbow! Just killed my first deer with it last night. Super accurate and powerful. It was getting dark and the scope definitely did the job so I could see the deer to shoot. If you're looking for an awesome mid-range priced xbow, you can't go wrong with this one.

I turned 60 this past year which made me eligable to archery hunt with a crossbow in Minnesota. I debated the switch from my compound bow, but am very happy with the decision to go with the Tenpoint Turbo GT. Awesome bow, high quality, accurate and easy to use. The Accu Draw 50 is quick and easy to use, no need for the crank version.
