Doesn't rotate, but better than average pole construction
At the time I ordered this umbrella it was not clear if it rotated or not (it does not) but based on the construction of the pole in the close-up photos I had assumed it would not. While I would have liked a rotating umbrella, I ultimately chose this model for its strong pole and solid reviews. This umbrella is currently placed a few stories up on my roof deck that can see high winds. I spent a lot of time researching options around this price point or less, and there were a lot of stories of bent or snapped umbrellas. The idea of my umbrella snapping and flying off the roof onto a car below was enough to pass on a rotation option in favor of this umbrella's better than normal pole and mechanism structure. When not in use I keep it covered with the included, and pretty easy to put on, protection cover. It's been up for a few weeks through boughts of wind, rain, and brutal sun, and it is holding up nicely. Note that you must have your (not-included) weights before you attempt to put this umbrella together. It needs at least the weight of an adult opposite the cantilevered umbrella or it cannot stay up. The instructions will tell you to put Square pavers at 18.7x18.7 and 66lbs or Triangle Pavers at 18.7x18.7x16.5 and 33lbs on the base to secure the umbrella. The closet pavers I was able to find at my local hardware store were 18x18 at 43lbs, so I placed 8 of them on the base for a collective weight of approx 345lbs. Not only was this increased weight better for the windy days, but the umbrella felt wobbly until at least 6 of the stones were in place. I do not consider this umbrella easy to move, so consider the lack of rotation, and pick your spot in advance. I would recommend this umbrella. Sitting on the roof with the strong Denver sun beaming down, it is cooler and I am able to avoid a sunburn while using this umbrella. See my pics for how it looks in a real-world use.

Advice for anyone buying one
I am writing this review more as an advice to someone who is actually buying the umbrella than as a review. Except for the two items noted below, I would give this umbrella a solid 5 star rating for where it is on the cost curve. I am using two of these for shade on my pool. As such, these umbrellas will be out continuously from June through September and then stored. I expect to get 2 seasons out of them and a 50/50 chance of getting three. Given my other options to keep my pool cool, this is a bit of a bargain. Further, the other umbrella I was considering was twice as expensive so given all that, 2-3 seasons works for me.
Now for the two negatives. First, and the most significant, is that the umbrella is attached to the base using four bolts screwed into four nuts welded into the underside of the base. The bolts are good quality but the nuts are terrible. I’m not sure if the welding process weakens them or whether the manufacturer was saving $0.05 but out of the 8 nuts (2 umbrellas) three of them stripped. If they strip on the umbrella side, it is unlikely to be a big problem as the weight of the umbrella is entirely held up by the two on the other side. I didn’t give it much thought when I assembled the umbrella that one of them was stripped – I naively thought the other 3 would hold it. However, the first light wind collapsed the umbrella. I was able to beat the base back flat and went to the hardware store and double nutted the bolts and that seems to have fixed the problem. So my advice is that if you buy one of these, go the hardware store and buy four M8-1.25 nuts and double nut all of the bolts, even if they don’t strip.
The second complaint is I bought two of these, both specified as “tan”; however they are two completely different colors. One is grey and one is more brown than tan. If you are only buying one, it probably isn’t a big deal but if you are buying two, be prepared that they may not match, by a lot.

Researched and still let down.
I ordered this product and was so excited for it. I had done research and decided on this one based on the reviews and the price. I set it up on my terrace and within 15 minutes with a nighttime breeze (we quickly googled to see what the wind was and it was 5 mph) the entire umbrella snapped. I had 200 pounds of sand on the base. This thing should not have snapped so easily. I am so disappointed.

Lousy manufacturer support
Item arrived missing 3 of the 4 bolts needed for assembling the two cross base pieces together. The manufacturer gave me a bunch of runaround over the course of an entire week, and finally told me they would not send the missing bolts. So I apparently have to buy them myself. I sure hope I don't need any warranty support if this is any indication of how they treat their customers.

Great for the price.
So far as i can tell, seems to be well made... time will tell. I bought it on AlumiGogo for $309 in Jan. 2017. So far i'm pretty pleased, especially given the price. I used 8 16" square stepping stones for weight, plus a few cinder blocks; seems to be more than enough but we don't get winds over 30mph. I am lazy and leave it up all the time, and we had some good storms this last winter. The fabric seems to repel rain pretty well. Some minor issues: I have the pole as close as i can get it to a wall, but this is not as close as i would like as the rotation of the base necessitates putting the square stepping stones that i use for weight on a diagonal. I wish the umbrella were six inches higher... at 6'4" i clear but my visibility could be better. I would have preferred abba's rectangular version, but it was considerably more expensive and the reviews weren't as positive. It squeaks back and forth in the wind, though it doesn't seem to hurt anything.

Wow! This was a replacement for an older, heavier & much more expensive umbrella. It is so much better than the other one! The up & down mechanism is very easy to use and it provides great shade. We followed the recommendation of another buyer from Denver & are using eight of the large patio pavers to weigh it down. We seem to live in a wind tunnel here, but have had no issues so far.

Excellent at this price point.
At this price point, this was the perfect combination of style and build. It feels heavy and well made. Unfortunately, it does not rotate. I fixed that by building a simple platform with casters from Home Depot. It also requires something to weigh down the base as do most cantilevers. I purchased the plastic Abba branded sand weights because there was a promotion if you bought them together. Turns out there's a similar one you can purchase for even cheaper, so make sure to look for that one. I used about 100lbs of sand to fill but I live in Los Angeles and wind is not an issue in the summer.

Good umbrella, great service
Product was easy to set up. We purchased the weight containers to make the umbrella more sturdy and those were a little time consuming to fill. You can't just put water in them because the lids are not water tight. I am not sure why they didn't make the plastic containers for the weight the same color as the bottom cross braces and the pole. The weight containers are black and the rest is brown. I don't think that looks good.
The cover to go over the umbrella when it is closed is a nice design. Unfortunately, ours looked like it was used. Could have been because it was loose in the box instead of being in some kind of packaging material. Contacted the seller and received a new cover within days so that was nice. Seller also followed up with me a week or so later to make sure things were ok.
This umbrella does not rotate and does not have wheels so know that going in.
We have only had it a day but it seems to open and close pretty smoothly and easily.

Great Patio Umbrella
Great umbrella, but needs a stop at the lower position. Gives excellent coverage, but make sure the weights are completely full. This meant I had to settle the sand then keep adding until it was packed solid. If you don't a gust of wind will bring the whole thing crashing down. There is a lot of surface area with an umbrella this size.

Not a good start
It may get better but at the moment the pole poked through the box in shipping, the base cover got loose and was scratched by the handle and the cover for the handle has poor powder coat which is flaking off. I have yet to stand this thing big up because I have not yet purchased the pavers. More to come.
