They love it so much
I ordered this for my 2 Chihuahuas. I wrapped a fleece blanket around the inside cushion. They love it so much, I just ordered another. Hoping it washes well.

One happy cat in his bed
I bought this back in 2012 for a puppy, but it ended up being too small. Then after having it saved for a while I thought of using it for my cats. One cat shown in the pic loves this bed. It is his sleeping spot during winter & summer. He is in that bed all the time. It fits perfectly & he is about 12 lbs, but rather small. The bed itself has held up great in the washing machine & dryer. I wash it out every couple of months to get rid of all the cat hair on it. The colors have faded some, but the overall softness of the plush material is still there. The bottom, top & sides are cushioned but the bottom is not. There is a soft cushion pad that goes inside though. I haven't used the house open with my cats because they don't like going into it. The cat here that sleeps on it all the time likes his bed the way it is. This has been his bed for over a year now & if ever it does wear out I will be getting him a new one.

Miss Blu (the cat) LOVES her new pet house!
Miss Blu (the cat) loves her new new house! From the moment I received, she went inside and made herself at home. She loves it and so do I! She is about 13 pounds and has room to spare in there. Miss Blu is boarded from time to time and I bring the house to the boarding facility to put inside her kennel. She loves it and make her feel right at home.

Repeat buyer - Best house
I've bought a couple of these houses for my cats and they are great. If everyone is wondering about size, here is a guideline. For a cat - even a small cat - buy the standard size for cats 15lbs and above. I have a petite cat that is about 10 lbs and I have a big chunky boy cat that's around 20 lbs. Both love the standard size.
The standard size gives the cat room to sleep and stretch out a bit. They can sit up and change position comfortably. You don't want your pet to be crammed into something too small. I recommend the standard for small dogs as well. The standard size is comfortable for ONE adult cat or a small dog. Perhaps you might be able to get two or three wee kittens or puppies in here but any animal above 6 months old (unless there really mini) is going to need some room.
It is great that the house is also convertible into a pet couch. The house is good for winter or chillier rooms and in summer time you can just fold it down as the couch.
IMPORTANT: Keeping the house clean and in good shape. I take the floor pad out and slip it into an old pillowcase which I can wash. Or I put an old towel down or a baby blanket that I can wash easily. It also makes it much more comfy for them. They like something to cuddle and who doesn't like a nice clean bed? I change the towel/blanket about every week or two to keep everything fresh. Do NOT put this house in the washing machine! The foam structure will be ruined. If you need to clean this house do it with a damp cloth and surface wash the house. Shake it out and perhaps spray it with Lysol and let dry before returning to your pets. Follow my instructions and these houses will last a long time.
In the very cold winter, I throw a towel over the sides and back of the house (standard bath towel) for more insulation. Then I will take an old pillow case or perhaps something thin like a tea towel and drape it HALFWAY over the door so the animal can get some air but still cut down on any cold breeze.
My cats practically live in these houses except in super hot weather. Almost every afternoon nap and most nighttime naps are taken in these houses. The design is really classy too. If you have to put a pet house in your living room or take a house with you when you travel, you will not be embarrassed by the look of this house. I wish Sheri would come up with some more designer fabrics. I also wish the black and white leopard print wasn't so white. Perhaps they'll do a darker jacquard or paisley or something that would go with most people's decor.
By all means, get this house just make sure you get them the correct size.

My Pomeranian puppies absolutely love this bed. They hide in it, play in it, and jump on top, which collapses it, but then they just play on top of it. My only complaint is that when you wash it, the removable foam inside the removable pad comes loose. Since, I sew, it was a snap the sew the pad all the way around it securing the foam so it won't move. I still gave it 5 stars because my puppies love this bed and it is by far their favorite bed so far.

Our dogs LOVE â¤ï¸ this house!
We bought the large for our 14 and 24 pound Havanese dogs. They LOVE it! This is the second one we've had. They chase each other around the house and dive inside. It's best for just one dog inside but sometimes they both squeeze in. They will get in and roll around in it. We laugh at the funy positions they get themselves in. Sometimes the house gets on it's back wall and they will pop their heads out the top then tip it over and hop out. They also jump on top when one is inside. Pretty funny for 11 year old dogs. They will use it as a sofa sometimes but prefer to get inside. It's very soft yet holds up for several years with heavy use. We bought a crate pad to put inside because they love to get inside and scratc and scratch and scratch. It's not necessary as it comes with a pad but the thicker extra pad helps hold it's shape a little longer. It's the best thing we have ever purchased for them. I would give it 10+ stars if I could.

Good Pet House
It's really good quality, my kitten just doesn't really use it. She'll go in it sometimes or lay on top of it when it is in it's couch shape, but doesn't use it like I thought she would. I ordered the small one and was surprised that it was not bigger. I don't know how well my cat kitten will fit into it once she is fully grown. If you have a big cat or a small dog, get the medium sized one so they don't feel cramped (unless your animal likes that type of thing). I'd be happier if my cat actually started using it though, lol, but that's nobody's fault. When it arrived in the mail, it was kind of mushed and needed time to take it's shape, but after that it's wasn't deformed or anything and the house stood up just fine. Again, the materials are sturdy and the pet house is well made.

Nice cat bed
My cat is very choosy and likes enclosed, padded beds with a "roof". Strangely, they are hard to find, even at big pet stores. I usually replace it every 9-12 months since they can't really be cleaned well, assuming I can find one.
Usually kitty takes days or weeks to get accustomed to a new one, but this - after the usual feline inspection of something new, she went in and quickly adopted it as her new bed, and likes to stay in there. So if your cat like cozy, dark/private (black interior) beds, this will work great.
The "floor" has a removable/flippable, black-covered 1" foam pad so just be aware it isn't the big fluffy padding of some beds. But some cats like mine, prefer that.
on 2014-12-19 Perfect for cats
I ordered 2 of the leopard large size for my 4 cats. 2 indoor and 2 outdoor. The outdoor ones who stay in the garage at night use it all the time. I also decided to order the K&H SELF-WARMING CRATE PAD MOCHA 14" x 22"
in gray to add extra comfort. Also the inside was black and couldn't see them (black one and charcoal gray one) so now I can tell if their using it. :) My mom had me order her one in medium for her cat and she likes it as a sofa. They look nice too . I have lots of animal print so the brown leopard blends right in. They do run small I feel. If your pet is over 10 lbs. I would recommend the large. My indoor bunny also hopped in it to check it out:) Also the price is great and adding in free shipping you can't beat that.

The floor pad needs to be better made. There was too much loose material
The floor pad needs to be better made. There was too much loose material. My dogs like to dig around before settling down. The thin foam pad got all twisted inside its cover. The house also did not keep its walls squared so it lists to the side instead of standing fully upright which it might have if the 'flooring' hadn't gotten twisted. That being said, my dogs do like it. I tilted it over so one thick side is now the floor and tossed a blanket in it.
