Great French Press....makes you stop and appreciate the moment and flavor
I recently discovered Tony's Coffee (Espresso Noir flavor) and have been drinking it daily in my cuisinart coffee maker. That was fine, but I wanted to try a more slow, traditional coffee method and see if the flavor was different. I decided to get a french press (this one is by Aerolatte--i have a milk frother from them from a million years ago and they seemed a reliable coffee choice), as that was fast enough to use every day, but should make for a more flavorful coffee experience. Whelp....SUPER HAPPY! First of all...using a french press made me feel very fancy on a Sunday morning (please see image with coffee cup and paper!). Secondly, it was such a rich cup of coffee. The flavor was deep, strong and satisfying. I liked the easy measurements for pouring in my coffee to water ratio. I put my timer on for 4 minutes, then pressed down the plunger and poured into my cup. I also liked the strainer part of the top to prevent errant coffee grinds from escaping. I need to fine tune my grind for the french press, but I just loved this little guy. It is easy enough for every day, but the process is tasty and special enough to feel right for big Sunday breakfast. I will still use my regular coffee pot for mass quantities of caffeine, but am finding I pull my french press out to enjoy the moment a bit more (or for that 3pm coffee break!). Nerd alert....on the box, there is the catch phrase--the incredibly frothy coffee company. How cute is that??

Love this french press
Love this french press! It's the perfect size for 2 servings of my ginormous coffee cups that I need to function in the morning. I've had a Bodum one for a while but found it was getting "stuck" every time I pushed down. I do not feel I need to be a heavy weight lifter to push my damn coffee press down. This is smooth like butter. And, the other tiny detail worth mentioning is the pusher-thing is FLAT. All the ones I've had in the past have this very awkward little ball on the top which made pushing down quite difficult. I have some auto-immune issues and my hands aren't as strong as they used to be and simple things like opening lids and pushing things down can be challenging. This press makes me happy- it's clearly built with some thought. Also no grounds sneak out when I'm pouring the second cup, which is awesome because I am not a fan of "cowboy coffee" at all! Also- it's a great price and has a simple minimalist look to it that I love. Totally recommend.

At 60+ years old, I enjoyed this new (for me) method of making a mug or two of coffee. The product video was a bonus! Great taste and easy to use. Looks nice on our kitchen counter.
It looked like most of the negative reviews were older, so it seemed like perhaps the product being shipped now would be different or improved based on the most recent reviews, and what we received (we went for the 8-cup model) seems nicely made and very reasonably sturdy. I was a bit surprised that AlumiGogo shipped it only in the original manufacturer's box instead of double boxing it as they often do, but ours arrived intact and unscathed.

A good press.
The Aerolatte french press makes a good cup of coffee. It is small at 12 oz. but the size is specified clearly. Those negative reviews complaining of it being too small apparently cannot read specifications or think their 16 oz mug is 12 oz.

Fits Bodum holder
It fits my older model Bodum 3 "cup" french press, although it was a bit of a struggle to get it in. I think this glass is just a hair larger than the Bodum glass was. But the Bodum screen and cap fit and filter properly, so I am happy. Not sure if I can ever get it apart again though.

Arrived just fine, I followed the instructions to the T on use - put warm water in to preheat the press, let the hot water steep the coffee for 3 minutes- when i put the lid on and started the press, the side of the glass blew out on it. Lovely.

Strainer broke off stem.
At first this French press was excellent. I bought it as a gift for my boyfriend. Unfortunately less than a month later, the strainer has detached from the stem and is useless. Very disappointed.
UPDATED: I was able to loosen the bottom so the top screw part would stay but I wish the bottom could be tightened completely and the the top screwed on.

Thick glass that is strong and actually universal.
Fit my coffee press perfectly! The first couple "universal" replacements were not able to fit so super happy when this one slid into place. High quality and totally better and greener than buying a whole new press and throwing my broken one out. Would recommend.

Not too thin, not thick but great replacement!
This beaker was a great replacement for the one I'd originally broken in my set. Not too thin, not thick. It fit perfectly as soon as I made sure the measurements in oz were what I'd had before. Thumbs up!
