Overall, I like it well, just one nag.
The Good: This size is perfect for my king size bed that sits up high off the ground. It is the largest king size blanket I have seen. It has lots of hang over on all sides of the bed so I don't have to fight for blanket at night. The edging appears to be sewn well and is very soft to the touch. The color is exactly as shown in the image. The item came carefully packaged. The blanket had no smell from the moment I opened it. The quality is excellent. It feels soft to my hands. I usually get too hot under most every blanket. This blanket has almost completely solved that problem. My wife usually stays cold, but it has almost completely resolved that problem.
The downside: We have 19m weight silk sheets. I sleep with only underwear and I feel the wool poking against my stomach and chest while laying on my back which is somewhat uncomfortable.

So warm and cosy!
This blanket is like the ones that my mother had on our beds in the 50's! The quality of the blanket is wonderful. I searched for a long time to find a 100% wool blanket with binding on the edges. It is quite substantial with lots of wool used, but not stiff and is very soft and warm. My husband, who doesn't show too much interest in what I buy for the home, has mentioned several times how much he likes this blanket. He says, "It's the best thing we've bought, this year"! It has the satin binding, not only on the ends, but all around. I wish they had some different colors, but am 100% satisfied with this purchase and feel that it was well worth the money spent. I will replace all of our old blankets with these, eventually. As far as size goes, I bought a king for a queen bed and probably didn't need to, since it hangs 22" on each side of our queen bed. I was afraid it might be skimpy, but they are definitely oversize and allow for "cover stealing"!

Great quality, and it really is soft, not scratchy
I've been looking for a 100% wool blanket for my bed for quite some time. Every time I think I find one, it ends up being cheaply made and too scratchy. This blanket is well made and so soft! It really keeps you warmer on cold days, but not a sweaty-kick-the-blankets-off kind of warm. The color is definitely more creamy beige than a creamy white (which I was hoping for), but the quality and softness for the price can't be beat so I'm making it work (if you want to spend over $500 you can get more colors in a better quality/softness, but my budget was around $200).

I had been feeling chilly after removing the giant winter comforter from the bed. I was seeking a less think blanket that would still keep me warm (but not be too absurdly large for the washing machine). This is it! The blanket is nice and soft, and keeps me warm without overheating.
Additionally, the king size version fits handily into my washing machine.

This is a must-buy!
I adore this blanket. I live in Hawaii, where it's often warm at night. The blanket offers me the coverage I need at night without making me feel like I'm in a sauna. When it does get cold, I fold up the blanket to provide extra warmth because I'm not used to the cold. I love this blanket!!!

Best purchase this year.
I was sick of our old king size part wool, part acrylic washable blanket, which shed wool every wash and became more and more static-y, especially after I bought a clearance king size quilted silk coverlet from Ann Gish because it is so lightweight and warm. This blanket is pretty and neutral enough to go with any color (in my case chocolate brown orchid, lavender, and sage green). It is warm, soft, not heavy on my feet, but it doesn't make us sweat. I expect not to have to wash it as often as I did the acrylic one, which shrunk badly and unraveled; I may just air it out on the line on a sunny, blustery day. It is large and long: it hangs down over my pillowtop mattress almost as far as the coverlet, which could almost touch the floor if I didn't want the bedskirt to show. My husband no longer is fighting me for his share of the covers and seems to not wake up as much at night. He rarely notices what I buy, but even he commented about how nice this was. I will find out this spring and summer if it is comfortable in warmer temperatures as my husbands allergies keep us in air-conditioned Siberia in our hot, humid summers. This blanket is comfortable and warm on the coldest nights. My furnace failed last night. It was 18 degrees below zero with 30 mph winds and the temperature in our bedroom at the top of the house fell to 62 degrees before my cold face woke me. After building a fire in the Hearthstone wood stove, disassembling and cleaning the thermocoupler and reinstalling it to fix the furnace problem, jump-starting two dead batteries, airing up a flat tire, plowing and shoveling my drive and my 80 year old aunt's of another 9 inches of snow on top of the 11 we got the day before, walking a 1/4 mile in the blowing cold to return a borrowed car I used to get my son to work on time, cleaning the birdfeeders of snow so the birds could eat, and unfreezing my 22 year old son's water pipes in his trailer which involved crawling on the ground under the trailer to replace the heattape, this 63 year old woman is laid down in bed cozied up under silk, wool and 100% cotton and finally warm for the first time since 3 am, typing this up on my IPAD Clamshell Case (all purchases this last year from AlumiGogo). I hemmed and hawed over spending so much on a blanket, but it is well worth the price and should last a lifetime because of the built in quality. All money well spent!

You won't be disappointed! I highly recommend this Creswick Blanket!
Soft and worthy of a cuddle! I needed a blanket to serve multiple purposes. Since it has a beautiful and delicate checked pattern (the image on line, doesn't do it justice; it's lovely) it can be placed on the bed for show, used as an extra cover for warmth during the night, and also used for cuddling during the cooler summer nights watching movies with the younger ones. It has a soft, supple texture and it feels smooth against the skin. As soon as I unzipped the well made carrier, I immediately sniffed the blanket and a smile emerged! You see, I usually stayed away from wool blankets due to the itchy, navy blue, military type blankets my sister and I had when we were younger; I had a distinct memory of a very heavy, course, strong odored, blanket. My past memories are now replaced with these new positive ones from my new purchase. I'm thrilled! With all that said, it should be noted that it is very well constructed, it has perfectly lined stitching; it's beautifully made!

Nicest Blanket I've Owned
Always wanted a wool blanket but a nice one. This is not only soft and warm, but oversized. My husband and I have it on a split king, adjustable bed and it is plenty wide. We never fought over covers anymore. It is so warm that I usually end up kicking the down comforter off. GREAT BLANKET!

Made in China
Seems to be very good. Big disappointment that it's actually made in China. Many things from China are great but some are contaminated with lead.

An OK Blanket
Don't expect the Merino Wool to be the same quality as what you got twenty + years ago. But it is OK to keep you warm.
