Perfect for my 2013 Ford Fusion
In my 2013 Ford Fusion: I was pretty skeptical at first on whether or not it'll be stable. I'm surprised at how sturdy it is. Since I don't use my CD player (who does?) this was a perfect place to put it. In addition to where it is, the shift handle allows me to rest my palm down on it and type easily as I make quick corrections with my navigation.

Perfect for Accord 2013+ (9th Gen) ! Doesn't block my view or screen.
I own a 2015 Honda Accord. If you are also driving an 2013+ (9th Gen) Accord, you know that mounting a phone/GPS is the hardest thing. I've tried every mounting solutions possible. Windshield mount and dashboard mount blocks my view when placed near center console. Some mount even blocks my center screen. I don't want to mount my phone on my left because I always ask the passenger to update/enter address for GPS if necessary. I tried the Kenu Air Frame, but it can't tilt, so the reflections make the screen hard to read. Also, the AirFrame does not open well because of the buttons near air vents. Other air vent mount looks fragile and I think the hot air from the vents might heat up the phone. This CD slot mount solves all the problems I had, it's sturdy, it can tilt freely. Easy to put my iPhone 6 on and off while maintaining a good grip. The best part is that it won't block the view to the center screen (even with a iPhone 6 plus).

Great cell phone holder for car
We love it my husband and I bought one each and then we bought one for each of two sons. I like that it is below the dash and fits in the CD player. The suction
cup one came off the dash all the time and left sticky stuff on dash.

Best Car Mount Holder Ever
Love it. It fits securely for my Samsung note 4. I have an Nissan Altima so had to turn holder upside down since it was too close to the radio knob in the other position. With it upside down it works just fine and I think they made it this way so that it can be placed in either position. My radio works fine this way and all is good. Love this holder and so tired of the others that I have had. This one is secure and will swivel to the position wanted. It sits closer to you then most other holders so it can be used more easily especially when using it for navigation. Get it, you will be glad you did. Whoever came up with this was really thinking.

Good only for the RIGHT shape of CD player
Super important: Check your CD player before you buy this! If your CD player is flat across the front, you are fine. But if its curved across the front, you will be very disappointed, because the pads that fit into the CD player slot are TOO SHORT on this particular mount, they wont get a good grip in your CD player.
I bought this for a Subaru Outback 2012, discovered too late that my CD player is curved across the front, and this mount just fell right out. I put it in our Honda Fit 2010, with a flat front CD player, and it works fine. In the Subaru we now have a Mountek nGroove Universal, and it works fine.
The other aspects of this mount are pretty sweet. The holder that grasps the phone works well, even with the phone in portrait mode where it could 'fall out' if the mount loses grip. Just check the front of your player first!

Works great so far!
This is a pretty stable phone mount that works well with my iPhone 6s Plus, with a case on (I currently use an Apple Silicone case).
It is easy to get the phone in and out and works well between landscape and portrait settings.
I read about this particular mount on an Outback forum and use it in a 2016 Subaru Outback. It fits just snug enough in the cd slot to not require any of the additional fitting pads.
So far so good and no damage caused to the infotainment screen of the car. It does leave a very small smudge on the screen after removed but it wipes away. Also, no damage caused to the cd slot that I can see. Snapping it locked into place makes me slightly nervous as its a tight fit and I worry about causing a crack or similar but I try to be careful. I only have the mount installed when I need it (for Google Maps!), and not every time I drive.
Overall I am very happy with this mount. Good looking enough and stable!

Liked it, but returned it
I gave this 4-stars even though I have returned it. Reason for returning it? It will not fit in a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium with the Sony / SYNC system as the CD slot is recessed on top of the dash and the dash "lip" gets in the way of the mounting clip. If it had a telescoping arm, I think that would solve the problem.

Works well for me
I have been using this the past couple of weeks and am happy with my choice. I had previously tried a couple other vent mounts but don't like how that blocks the vent (especially with the A/C on) and in my 2014 Toyota Camry those also blocked the clock from my view. I have rarely used CD's in the car over many years so this was more ideal than a dash mount or cup holder mount. The CD-Air was easy to install and is easily adjusted with one hand but is sturdy for a car mount. Depending on the road it does pick up some of the road vibration if the road is rough, but so do most other mounts that have an arm and this has significantly less vibration than the vent mounts I tried. On a smooth road it is not noticeable. In landscape orientation it blocks a very small portion of the console screen but nothing that I use, portrait blocks a bit more but personally I won't use that much.

Far and Away the Best Holder I Have Ever Used
I drive a 2014 Hyundai Sonata and have an iPhone 6 Plus with an Otterbox Commuter series case. This is important because everyone's car is different so the CD slot will be in a different place, and if I don't tell you what kind of phone setup I have, then you will not know if it will work for your situation. For my car, this cell phone holder works wonderfully. It does not block the radio touch screen, which I was worried about, no matter which way I orient the phone. The "jaws" open easily and have no problem holding my phone with the case installed. It fits very snug in the CD slot. I was able to use the wedge clip already installed, however, the do include three other sizes to fit all kinds of CD slots. I am so happy I didn't have to get a holder that uses a suction cup. They tend to leave marks or residue on the surface of the dash, and I did not want to do that to my new car. I highly recommend you purchase this holder.

REVISED REVIEW --- READ IF YOU ARE USING ON A PRIUS!!!!!
April 22 - 2016 UPDATE AND WARNING!!!!!!!
I have been using this for nearly a year in my Prius now and was substantially happy with it (see my original review below), until one day, while driving down the interstate at 70 MPH, when the phone vibrated loose and fell from the holder. As it fell it hit the shiftier and shifted the car from D to B (the engine brake), causing the car's speed to drop suddenly and quickly. Fortunately no one was right behind me and I was able to recover without incident, but it was dangerous.
Apparently after a while the springs begin to lose some of their strength and the phone can drop out unexpectedly. Since then the phone had dropped numerous times and I have stopped using the mount for my own safety.
Prius owners need to be aware of this potential problem.
(Original review begins here)
Having had phone holders before that either wobbled or were not at the right height or did not hold the phone securely or were awkward to insert and remove the phone, I thought, for the price I would give this one a try.
I am using this in a Prius and it fits the cd player perfectly and tightly. I am able to see the phone clearly without taking my eyes off the road for more then a second. It holds the phone at the perfect height for hands-free use (ok google) as it is close enough to hear me clearly. I can make and receive calls, use my gps app and much more without a problem. The phone speaker in the back is clear of the holder so I can hear everything clearly.
It comes with three shims so it will fit most cd player slots. My installation did require the use of one of them.
I am completely satisfied with this item and I recommend it to anyone with a dash-mounted cd player.
