on 2015-12-27 Corelle plates clean well, are good space savors, and are easy for a one-handed person to use.
We are constantly going through plates at our house. The old plates would break, chip, or start to look very worn down. I bought these plates for a Christmas present for my mother. I must say I was shocked to see how light these plates feel. It has been really beneficial for my step-dad, who only has one hand. They are easy for him to grip and do not become overly heavy with food on them. I will also say that if you are limited on cabinet room, these plates stack really well together and take up hardly any space. Additionally, our old plates would come out of the dishwasher with food still stuck to them. It was so bad, I had debated on getting a new dishwasher; however, the Corelle plates come out looking clean and new.
I have not dropped any, so I don't know if they will chip or break. I will say that during Christmas dinner my Grandmother commented that she has had the same set of Corelle plates for over 30 YEARS! I never thought plates had pros or cons but now I realize that I am probably going to be a Corelle fan for life. I will say that a slight con would be that the designs are really blah and not anesthetically pleasing; however, if you go with a plane design, such as the Winter Frost, it can compliment many designs or themes. Also, when staking the plates some seem slightly warped. It isn't something I notice when using a plate by itself. Corelle Livingware 6-Piece Dinner Plate Set, Winter Frost White
I have attached a picture a seven Corelle plates stacked on top of seven of the other plates we have in our cabinet.

Durable, space saving, timeless look= love
If you’re not familiar with Corelle dishes, they are light weight (this lunch plate weighs about 8 ounces) and thin which makes them easy to handle, they don’t take up a lot of room in the kitchen cabinets and while not break proof, they’re quite durable. Also, some may care to know these are made in the USA.
I finally ordered these lunch plates to add to our existing Corelle dish set that we’ve had for over 5 years now. My family of 4 uses them daily and they still look great without any chips or scratches. These lunch plates are a good size (8 1/2â€) for smaller portion-sized meals or a sandwich.
Overall I love my Corelle dishes. They’re durable, space saving and have a classic, timeless appearance.

BEAUTIFUL DISHES GOOD FOR ANY OCCASION
I love these Corelle dishes. I am the cook for all holidays in my family, so wanted to get dishes that would hold up for a while. I got the whole set of these: dinner plates, desert plates, lunch plates, cereal bowls, soup bowls, platters, cups, and saucers. I initially got a place setting for 6 to see how I liked them. I loved them! So much, that I got additional place settings for a total of 24. In the many years I've had these dishes, I have only had two that chipped (not broken, just chipped on the lip after landing on cement).
I have had Corelle for many years and had several different colors/series, but I like this Winter Frost White the best as they go with ANY decor or holilday setup. They are perfect for a casual family get-together, or a formal dinner party.
I plan on using these dishes for many years to come. I am very happy with them - they are virtually indestructable!

I was surprised when my new Corelle dinnerware arrived. They are thin and light weight to the point of reminding me of toy plates. Not that I think that is a big deal. With my bad back and rapidly advancing years I see that as a positive attribute. Another reviewer noted that they will shatter when dropped on a tile floor and I'm sure that is true but while drying a bowl for the first time it slipped out of my fingers and landed hard on my tile floor. It didn't shatter but rather bounced three times before coming to rest with no scratches, chips or cracks of any kind. I couldn't believe my eyes and immediately myself ordered a second set. In addition to their toughness, they also come out of a microwave without being heated themselves. I don't know how many times I've burned my fingers heating food on my old so called microwave safe plates which frequently are heated hotter than the food! Elligant, tough, made in USA, what more can a person want?

Cannot stress enough how much I love these plates
In the past I have bought expensive China as well as Food Network porcelain plates and I have come to find that for all practical reasons these plates are superior. The first reason I say that these plates are superior to that of more expensive options are that they are affordable seems pretty simple but at the end of the day when you had a houseful of five children affordability is a big part. The second reason is that they are very durable. My children have dropped his plates on the floor countless times and they have never broke I'm not sure what they do to make these plates so durable but they most definitely are better than any type of glass or porcelain plates that I have used in the past. The third reason that I love these plates are that I have 12 of these plates and they fit stacked in my cupboard with room for at least 12 more I have very expensive Square Food Network brand plates and I only have a set of 8 and they won't fit in my cupboard. The fourth reason that I love these are that they are lightweight I can hear none of these plates put food on it set it on the table with a not having to strain to grab a big pile of this place is a perk that I never realized I wanted. When I compare these to my Square Food Network place I can literally pick up 12 of these and they don't weigh as much as two of my heavy Square Food Network plates. Overall if I could do it all over again I would simply skip buying the more expensive plates and only buy this brand not only are they worth it but they're also pretty enough then I don't mind haveing these instead. I do a lot of reviewing and I paid full price for these plates and would do it again and they are amazing and I can't stress how much I love this and brand and this style of plates

Very nice plates!
This has to be one of the single best deals for any product on AlumiGogo. I bought these Corelle dinner plates (pack of 6) to replace some plates that developed sharp edges. I wasn't sure what to expect for $11 even with the good reviews. But they really are awesome. They are made in the USA - each plate has a sticker attesting to origin and what it is made of. The plates that I received are flawless. They are light, clean well, and make the food on them pop against the white background. They remind of plates I have seen in some restaurants. They stack nice and tight so they take little space. I really like them and everyone I show them to wants to buy them. When you consider the price, it is a real steal.

Pretty, durable dishes
My husband is the dishwasher in our house. He has managed to break at least half of every dish set we have owned for thirty years. Except the Corelle ( which is now all I will buy). I've seen him literally drop these plates on the tile floor with nary a chip. He bangs them up against the side of the porcelain sink too. Plus they are really pretty and lightweight, they take up much less room than the heavier dishes. I have invested in bowls and dinner plates in this pattern as well. Pretty sure after a nuclear disaster the rats would be eating off this stuff, it's that durable lol.

I love these. I had the dinner plates and loved them so much, that I bought these too.
I have the dinner plates in the same design, except red. We were using melamine luncheon plates and couldn't put them in the microwave, so I decided to buy these to replace the melamine ones. I love that they are thin and don't weigh a lot. I have a divider shelf in my cabinet and I placed the dinner plates on the cabinet shelf and these plates on the divider shelf. I have 12 of each and I could easily fit double that in that one space. These are VERY easy to clean (I rinse before putting in the dishwasher) and they look very nice.
I would definitely recommend these luncheon plates.

Really nice and inexpensive microwave safe plates
needed microwave safe plates since we threw away some old plates we wree using and switched them to japanese made china. Unfortunately the china created sparks in the microwave maybe attributed to the metal in the paint and since i just bought it the microwave i decided to get just plates for the microwave. I chose corelle over the amazon basics due to reviews and also liked the black version instead of white just because it looked better. they are very light but sturdy no chips and best of all they are made in the united states so feel better than something made in china.

Easy to clean and stack very compactly
Bought as a gift for my mother-in-law who was looking for plain white, compact stacking plates. My mom suggested these as she has always loved Corelle plates. I thought Corelle was kind of old fashioned (mainly because I grew up with them and am not a spring chicken), but now I totally see the value in them. My Mother-in-law was thrilled. She reported back that the clean up much easier than any other dish she has owned and she LOVES the space saving aspect. As my husband and I contemplate full time RVing, I will take a harder look at Corelle dishes.
