Does what I want.
What can I say? It's a scale.
As far as weighing things go, I’ve measured it, and it seems to be very accurate. I love the fact that I can just step on it and give an answer. Also, it’s not obvious from the picture but the scale is pretty wide. I liked that a lot too. The numbers are big and bright, so big that I can read them without having my glasses on.
As far as all the other measurements go, they’re reasonably accurate based on a caliper test. I’m not expecting perfection because I know how these things work. There’s a built in error because essentially the scale is measuring connectivity at various frequencies and then using a “table†to figure out the numbers. Since the table is based on averages it’ll never be completely accurate, but like I said, is close enough. The reality is if you’re at 30% body fat and it measures 28%, the scale is still pretty much telling you what you need to know. If you’re below around 15%, there’s an athletic mode that you can set so that the numbers will become more accurate. If you know you have a low body fat and you don’t set it properly don’t blame the electronics.
I also liked the fact that you can set it to automatically monitor different people based on their weights. Of course, if there are two people using the scale that have effectively the same weight, it’ll get confused. Other than that it’s a great scale.

Which is fine, I just step on right out of the ...
I use this scale several times a week or more, but I have noticed that it doesn't always reflect accurately. A couple times it has shown a difference of about 10 pounds in just one day. Also, for all of the settings to work, your feet need to be wet. Which is fine, I just step on right out of the shower in the mornings. But I feel like I am standing there for a long time waiting for it to process and give me a result.

6 Month Product review
I've owned this scale for more than six months now so I wont bore you w/ glowing recommendations based on shipping. :-) The batteries that came w/ the unit lasted more me than 6 months and replacements cost $8.99. They could provide a capability for rechargeable batteries. On the weight function - I've found it to be accurate as measured against a spring scale that the Drs. office uses, (ie - when I go to my Dr. I get the same reading within a pound or so). The health algorithms that are programmed into the unit to calculate things like BMI aren't perfect for every body type. Straight BMI in general are somewhat flawed as a strict methodology of health given various body types..but if you can calculate a BMI of ~35 you know you probably need to lose weight. But this is my opinion. In general the built in tools are useful enough though to use as a 'generalized help' to help keep track of your weight and progress to be healthier. Lastly I find the interface and usage easy enough to get through once I read the directions.
All in all I recommend this as its a good value for the price.

Wouldn't buy again
I like the design of the scale and the options it gives. However, the scale is only useful if you want a "ballpark" idea of what you weigh and aren't trying to lose weight. If I place my scale on my bathroom floor in one place, it'll give me a reading that is up to 2 pounds difference from a different spot 3 inches away. The floor is perfectly even, so the scale should NOT vary that much. I'm quite disappointed because it can't be trusted. Also, my water weight NEVER changed in the 3 weeks that I've had the scale. Not once, and I know that the water weight had to have changed at some point(some days I'm super dehydrated, some days I'm trying to make up for that). There's just something off about how this scale works, and I'm frustrated. However, all the other digital scales in this price range have the same problem from what I've read, so I guess I won't go through the hassle of returning this one. However, I would not suggest buying this scale if you are actually interested in accurately measuring anything that this scale promises to do. Slightly ironic considering I bought the same scale for my sister for Christmas, then bought this one for myself. I would never have done this if I had known.

Great scale -- especially for the price!!
For me, this scale is exactly what I wanted and need. I understand that the information it gives me has room for error and cannot replace information given to me by a physician. That being said, it helps me keep up with a higher understanding of the progress I'm making on my body.
You must have bare feet in order for the pulse to accurately tell you what your body fat, muscle mass, etc. is, and it is fairly consistent!
When I got the scale I stepped on it multiple times in a row and it gave me the same results each time. Then throughout the day I tried it and it would vary by about 5 lbs, and maybe one percentage on all of my other info! I am pretty pleased with that.
Another user commented that it chewed up batteries quickly and I haven't had mine die yet, however it simply takes 4 AAA batteries which are NOT that expensive.
I think that I am going to enjoy this scale for a while and time will tell!

Very nice but I noticed the scale fluctuates in weight i.e. First weigh in is 160 get off and on again 158. Always

This scale only worked as advertised for about three weeks, after which time only the weight worked. Now, you get your weight, and then it looks like it's trying to calculate body fat, bone density, etc, then flashes 8888. I could have spent half as much for a scale that only provides weight.

Won't turn on
Scale came packaged well but after setting it up the LCD screen only remained lit for 2 minutes. Afterwards it would not turn back on. I originally thought it would just need new batteries so I immediately bought the kind required. However, it would not turn back on no matter how many I tried. I it the original batteries that came in the scale back in it and the screen lit up only to say Low and shut off....very dissatisfied

Fine print in manual discloses that it's not for those who are already lean.
Just a warning for those who already have low body fat: I was hoping to use this to help cut weight for track season, but it is not calibrated for those with already low body fat. I'm under 10%, probably around 8-9% right now (for real - I have been measured with a scanner when my weight and body composition were similar to the present), but this scale put me at 16% in "athlete mode." I then told it I was 21 years old instead of my actual 36, and it said 12%. It apparently just uses a crude algorithm calibrated for people with more body fat than your typical competitive athlete. After purchase I found in the manual that it is not for "professional athletes or bodybuilders." The manufacturer and seller should state more clearly that it is not for people who are already lean (which includes plenty of everyday runners, triathletes, and Crossfit types).
