Surprisingly nice little shelf.
Like others, I was expecting this to be rough, splintery, and as quick to break as a balsa wood glider. I was wrong. It's not fine furniture, by any means, but it doesn't look like you dragged it in from the garage, either.
Assembly was a relatively simple process. It required some acts of coordination I didn't know I was capable of, but I managed, and all before my son woke from his nap. With two people, I bet it would be even easier.
Initially I had just one shelf (one of this item, fully assembled; not one tier) set up and it was stable enough, but later I decided to put two together. I wasn't able to use the X-braces when I did that, but it's incredibly stable now. Basically, I put together the two separate shelves except for the vertical supports on one end of each, then I used one vertical support in the front of the new combined shelf, and one in the back. Now we have a nice, long shelf for storing toys, and while it doesn't match the finish of anything else in the room, it still looks decent. Plus, it's so basic that there are countless ways to modify it without much effort.
If you have your own allen wrenches, I'd use those, because the ones that come with the shelf are soft and easily worn down. Otherwise, I think this is a worthwhile purchase, and it's wood! Yeah, it's just pine, and it's not large planks or anything, but considering you can pay this price for cardboard or particle board, I think it's a decent value.
One more thing: I didn't have any problems with this product, but another product I bought from Furinno (their awesome lap desk) broke after several months of use, and customer service was quick and incredibly helpful when I contacted them. The replacement product was delivered in about a week. In case you're afraid to buy anything from a bargain furniture company, don't be. They really seem to back their products.

Nice adjustable shelves at a decent cost
I needed a shelf unit to hold a rather large hard drive and a printer. I had looked at quite a few, but they were either too expensive or not the size I needed. This shelf's given dimensions looked like what I needed. I have to say the my computer fits really well, I can easily access the disk drive and USB ports.I measured my components very carefully, and adjusted the shelves to accommodate my needs. The shelf feels sturdy, and since I have it parallel to a wall, and it is not in a place where it will get bumped or knocked around, I am very pleased with it's functionality. It wasn't too complicated to assembly, and I am a small, 56 year old woman! I will note that the predrilled holes were almost too small. I did not have to redrill any, but was very careful while using the provided tool to screw the parts together. I actually screwed the screw into the hole to widen the hole a bit, then unscrewed and removed the screw, before doing the final actual assembly. It worked well, and I did not have a problem with the wood cracking, as some reviews mentioned. It took me about 40 minutes to complete the assembly. This is not a heavy duty shelf by any means, but it works well for what I needed it to hold, looks nice with my other furnishings and didn't cost a fortune.

A Vast Improvement
I bought this to replace another Furinno product (Turn 'n' Tube 3 shelf stand) that was poorly constructed and broke in less than a year. The two products couldn't be farther apart in terms of quality and function. To begin with, with the Turn 'n' Tube shelf the vertical supports are threaded through each shelf and then turned into the next support; tightening them leads to breakage for which there is no repair.
The wood shelves on the other hand have single vertical supports that the shelves are screwed into. All the holes aligned perfectly, and the bolts made a very tight connection. The shelves are also sturdy and have the load each shelf can safely support (11 pounds). I don't know how much function the Turn 'n' Tube serves as the loading capacity is not marked anywhere.
Given that the dimensions are almost identical, the wood can be refinished any color or stain that you want, and if desired the unit is easily bolted to the wall, the wood shelves are well worth the extra $2 they cost. And while this is a purely judgmental statement, I and others who've seen both shelves also think they look much better than the white plastic the Turn 'n' Tube are made of.

I like the finished product but assembly can be a pain.
Nice fast delivery but the big box it came in was ripped, the tape was all torn off. Luckily there was a box inside which had the shelves in it and they were unharmed.
I'll have to be honest here. The assembly was a royal pain in the you know what. This could have been because i had no one to help me. Two people would have made the job so much easier. It took roughly 90 min to assemble and the thing they give you to screw the screws in was very frustrating. ( I also had no screwdriver which might have helped) Unless its lined up just right in the screw its gonna slip right out and will fall out of your hand which adds to the frustration, especially when trying to hold on to the shelves..Not to mention it hurts your hand to hold it especially when tightening.. Make sure you wear gloves or use something as not to hurt your hand. (or maybe I'm just a wimp) And if the screws aren't in all the way the thing will sway like idk what...
So i finally finish my lame-a$$ attempt and gave up for the night and set it against the wall lest it topple over by the slightest wind.
The next morning i make another attempt to fix the problem. I unscrewed my mess, then really took my time to assemble this thing, (I was determined) Finally i get it right. yay! no more sway except a teeny tiny bit and only one screw is sticking out a bit. but that can always be fixed when I'm not feeling so lazy..
But overall i do like it. and it suits my needs just fine. I like the natural woodsy look. It wont be able to hold heavy objects but i wasn't planning on that so I'm happy with it. Yes i would still recommend this item but beware of the assembly. Get someone to help you and make sure you screw them screws in straight. If not, you'll break thru the wood as i kinda did on one, Then again it could have just been my own incompetence on this matter. But overall i am happy with the product.

Performed better than expected
This shelf is kind of flimsy and a little ugly but I needed something cheap and of a certain size. I actually left the bars off of it and it was fine holding a printer and heavy medical texts, as long as I didn't bump into it or it would sway, and probably would have broken... I think if you're on a tight budget and actually use the support bars you could paint or finish the wood for a more polished look at a very low price. I knew what I was buying so I'm not going to complain about the quality, it worked and it was cheap and withstood more than it should have based on the directions. I would recommend this for use in a room that small children don't use because it would be a little sketchy. Otherwise, it was a good buy.

Perfect for our needs
My husband put this shelf together. It is light weight but very well made. I love the height, it is perfect for our kitc when counter. It was delivered promptly, and our only complaint is that it is a little shaky. My husband has a great deal of experience in building and construction, so the fault is not with his construction.
The slight wobble isn't a big problem though, and the shelf is really pretty!

I bought two of these last year. On both, a few of the wood planks broke apart, the wood picked up water and stains easily, and the metal brackets came off. Of hundreds of AlumiGogos purchases, these were the worst. They are junk.

I LOVE the way it turned out
I LOVE the way it turned out. Super easy to put together and probably took me less than ten minutes. It had a wobble at first but it was a quick fix, just had to make sure I was putting it together correctly. It made my bathroom look so much nicer! And the extra space is so great.
