So much better than expected!
My daughter broke her arm (right about her wrist) the week before our week long beach vacation. Her Ortho Doc was not excited about her going in the salty ocean water and being on sand so we ordered 2 cast protectors for vacation. The Bloccs was far superior and kept her arm and cast dry all week. She did sweat quite a bit in it so we took it off every couple of hours to air out. She built sand castles, used a paddle board, snorkled and fought waves for a week and this cast protector kept her dry. She is 7 years old and a bit on the tall end for her age and this protector went almost to her arm pit. It fit her perfect.

Thank you Bloccs for saving our vacation!
My 7 year old daughter broke her arm 5 days before we left for our tropical vacation & cruise. It was particularly traumatic for her as we had big plans for the water slide & pool on the ship as well as swimming in the ocean & snorkeling. My search started on AlumiGogo for the answer to our dilemma & stress. I ordered the bloccs full arm waterproof sleeve on Wednesday & it arrived 2 days later for us to take it for a test drive in our shower & bathtub. Both experiences left her cast dry! We were so excited. The real test came aboard the ship as she took it for a whirl down the water slide...still dry, in the pool for two hours at a time, still dry! We then took it for a swim in the sea of Cortez for 3 hours in & out of the surf & it held up to all the swimming & even rolling around in the waves & sand. Love love love this purchase! Thank you for helping save our daughters vacation & helping ease our anxiety! Would give this 100 stars if possible! The only downside to the cover is that it has to be tight around the end so as to keep the water out & so at first my daughter was complaining it was tight & it got a tad sore. After the 2-3rd time wearing it she was no longer complaining about how tight it was either because it stretched a bit but was still watertight or she was just used to the tight feeling. For reference my daughter is 7 years old & wears size 7 in clothing. We ordered her the child full arm size 4-7. I used the size chart provided by bloccs to measure the length of my daughters full arm cast & the diameter of her arm at the top of the cast & the size we ordered fits perfectly.

This is a wonderful product! My son broke his wrist right during the middle of the hot summertime and was put in a full-arm cast. I had despaired of him being able to enjoy any water-related activities this summer but I decided to give this sleeve a try. It works!! He has used it successfully 4 times now, in pools and even on rides at a water park. Hour after hour, this sleeve stays in place and keeps all water out of the cast.
I do have a couple of suggestions for using this sleeve that have worked well for us:
1. Before trying to put the sleeve on over a scratchy cast, get an old tube sock and cut 5 small holes for the fingers. Slide the sock over the hand and up to just past the end of the cast. This enables the sleeve to slide on more easily and protects it from the roughness of the plaster.
2. Plan to give your child's arm frequent (hourly) breaks from the sleeve to restore blood circulation through the arm- this thing is TIGHT. I took it off my son every hour and waited about 15 minutes before putting it back on and that seemed to work for him.
3. Thoroughly dry the sleeve outside and inside before storing it away- the hand and any other exposed skin gets sweaty in there.
Otherwise- give this a try; it's been great for us!

Not as durable as I hoped but served the purpose, allowing son to participate in water activities with his long arm cast
I'm disappointed in the durability of this waterproof cast protector. My son ended up with 3 small tears during the first use. The material is basically like that of a latex balloon, just a little thicker. Other reviews mentioned their kids playing at the beach, going on water slides, etc. so I was expecting something more durable. I'll have to patch it up and hope it keeps the water out for bathing but I don't think it's going to be able to be submerged.
Update: While I still think this item is overpriced and wished it was more durable, it did allow my son to participate in activities that would have otherwise been off limits while he had his cast on. I put a bit of Shoe Goo over the holes and the inside would just be damp after water activites, including swimming. Other people who have had casts seemed pretty impressed so I'm upgrading my rating to 4 stars.

Best cast cover we tried! Bath and shower is possible despite a full arm cast.
I purchased this to cover my 5 yr olds full arm cast. She is very small for her age but ordered the 4-7 size as she was right in between the size chart. It has made bathing and showing possible with relatively little effort. It has leaked some on a few occasions likely due to the fact that 5 yr olds aren’t exactly calm or compliant in the water. I cover her cast and an inch up her exposed arm with Glad press and seal wrap first which keeps any water that leaks in off the cast. Getting the cover on is a bit of a challenge but if you follow the instructions it gets easier and faster than any other method. I would use this brand exclusively over any other we have tried. It is definitely worth the money and has lasted 4 weeks now. The cover is tight on the arm at the top but my 5 yr old hasn’t complained.

Hard to put on, painful to wear. Sizing off?
I bought the correct size according to age and measurement. It was a struggle to get the product up onto the cast, then up the whole cast onto the arm above. The pressure required to apply it freaked my kid out and was uncomfortable for him, but he was motivated to get through it so he could take a normal bath. Then as soon as it closed over the skin above the cast, he hollered that it hurt where the arm was broken/surgically pinned - I believe it was so tight it occluded the blood flow and caused the broken area to throb. I'm trying to figure out now whether I should order the next size up, or just try another product.

This item came fair quick which was the only good thing about it
This item came fair quick which was the only good thing about it. I purchased this for my 7 year grandson broken arm. It was impossible to get on. I followed the instructions about rolling it down, pull it out getting on the arm to aytemyto roll it up. I couldn’t even pull it wide enough to do that. Then my son who’s in great shaped tried. He got it on the lower arm/wrist area but to roll it up you had to hold onto his upper arm. Well that hurt. So no go. He got a thinner cast two weeks later and still couldn’t get it on. Save your $. Wrap the cast with plastic wrap then trap a small trash bag on it. Simple, no leaks and no pain.

This cast cover worked like a charm and kept her cast completely dry after ...
This was a complete life saver for my daughter this summer so far. She broke her arm for the 2nd time in the same place within the last five months and with this brake being right here at the beginning of the summer we were so upset her summer was going to be ruined. This cast cover worked like a charm and kept her cast completely dry after tubing, paddle boarding, swimming in the lake and pool, going down water slides at the KOA, playing at the beach. You name it, she did it with the cast protector on. Make sure you do the measurements. They are very accurate and then also take off to air out about every hour to hour and half. Must have for a summer brake.

I usually don’t write reviews but felt the need to share my opinion on this one.
My 6 year old broke his elbow requiring pins and a full arm cast a week before spring break. We wanted at least one beach day... even if it was just playing in the sand and not the water.
I purchased this product but was really nervous at first telling my son to not submerge his arm completely under the water- well he listened like any typical 6 year old. With in 5 minutes he was swimming with the fish.
I checked it right away and his cast was completely dry.
Very pleased with this purchase!
The only thing I didn’t like was how hard it was to put on but if you follow the directions (like I did the second time) it wasn’t bad at all. He didn’t complain of it being too tight on his arm either.

Works well if you take extra steps!
It works if you take some extra precautions. As suggested from others, I wrapped my 5 year old's cast in glad presn seal, put a sock over it and then the cover. We went swimming and to a water park and while the cover didn't prevent all water from seeping in on his upper arm, my extra wrapping prevented the cast from getting wet. Since our doctor didn't provide water proof cast liner this was our only choice if he wanted to play in the water. Should there be a next time we'll go to the facility that provides waterproof ones and avoid this hassle.
