Compact Spoke Adjustment Tool
This tool is a great addition to my tool box to cure bicycle rim misalignment. Start to finish this may take all of 20 minutes to align both wheels. Place a moving blanket on the floor and flip the bike upside down so that it rests on the seat and handlebars. Then spin the wheels and watch the side to side movement of the rim as it passes by the brake pads. Attach a piece of blue removable painters masking tape to the spots on the rim which appear out of alignment. It is important that you put the tape on the side that is out of alignment. Thus if the rim is moving to the left brake pad, put the tape on the left side of the rim and vice versa if it is moving to the right. Next use this tool to tighten the spoke 1/2 turn (turn the spoke to the left to draw it closer to the axle) on the opposite side of the rim where you placed the tape. Then loosen the two opposing adjacent spokes (the next spoke in front and back of the spoke you just tightened) 1/2 turn by turning the tool to the right (lengthening or drawing the spoke away from the axle). This sometimes is hard to comprehend but remember your over all objective is to move the rim back into alignment and keeping this in mind may make this easier to understand. Repeat this process again and make your turns only a quarter of turn instead of a half a turn until you are satisfied that you have aligned the rim. Remove the blue tape and take your bike for a ride. Try the brakes to confirm your success.

Best Spoke Wrench I've ever used.
Long ago I learned that the 3-sided Park wrenches are crap - under any force at all, they are prone to deforming/ruining the nipples - and replaced them with their 4-sided counterparts. I also have a Spokey wrench for which I have a slight preference over the Park wrenches. But this RavX wrench is far and away the best spoke wrench I've ever used. Due to a combination of wear-and-tear and a few unfortunate mishaps, I have been building a fair number of wheels lately. Just got this in the mail a few days ago and used it to rebuild a Mavic Kysrium Equipe with a new rim. The difference between this wrench and the Park wrenches I've used on my last few wheels is pronounced. It mainly consists in the fact that the sides that grip the nipple flare very slightly outwards near the top, making it easy to slide the wrench over a nipple that ultimately fits very snuggly within the wrench. The less play in the fit of the wrench to the nipple, the less chance the nipple will deform under force. The wrench also has a very nice feel to it. Added bonus: for less than the cost of a single 4-sided Park wrench, you essentially get 4 different sizes of spoke wrench in one.

Great little spoke wrench
I have a few older spoke wrenches but it seems like sometimes I need a size that I don't have when I'm helping a friend with a bike. I ordered this because if its ability to handle different gauge spoke nipples with a minimal amount of toolbox space. But that isn't the best part about this wrench... What is cool is they way that it surrounds the spoke nipple and gets a good bite on it. You place the wrench over the spoke and slide it up onto the nipple for a secure fit that won't strip an overly tight spoke. It's also a great ergonomic shape. Finally, it is a great price. I have a lot of expensive bike tools from some of the bigger bike tool brands and I'm happier with this product than their versions.

... a brand new trike off of AlumiGogo and I love it. Sadly
I bought a brand new trike off of AlumiGogo and I love it. Sadly, within one months time I was getting this awful grinding noise. Best I can describe was that it sounded like a piece of rod being dropped repeatedly over and over while I rode my bike. After purchasing this spoke wrench, I carefully went around each rim and found some to be extremely loose.. like hand tight. Anyway, after I tightened all the spokes up, all the noise went away and I swear I can reach lightning speeds now, though that might just be in my head.

About me: I'm 40 and have worked on my own bikes since I was 13. I've trued my own wheels since I was 19. I ride an average of 5,000 to 6,000 miles a year. Now on to the product. This thing works great! You get 4 spoke wrenches for the price of 2. I have the old green park, size 1 (it's what fit my mountain bike nipples, and the circular multi crap-- this beats both hands down! It has 4 corner point of contact on the nipple so no slippage which means no risk of rounding of the corners of nipples. I'm getting a second one to keep in my saddle bag.

This 4-sided universal wrench is top notch-quality... nicely machined, and well worth the wait (took about a week or so to arrive).
Smooth and comfortable to use, it was a much better option than buying 3 or 4 separate 'Park' wrenches. Excellent grip and fitment.
Fits the spoke nipples on a new 'Chinese' Schwinn 700C aluminum rim (which -really- needed truing), and my 35 year old Schwinn Traveler.

I looked and looked for a solid spoke wrench with a design for easy wheel building, beefy enough to last many years' use, with a 12 gauge spoke nipple size.
Tough, forged high-tensile steel alloy, easy to accurately build wheels, but the 12 gauge size was still a bit too small. I uses a double side flat file to cut the largest opening to the 12 ga. nipple flats size I need. Works fine!

Very loose fit on size 0 nipples
I bought this because I wanted a wrench that held the spoke from all sides. Switching back to my Park tool size 0 wrench after using this for a bit, I noticed how much better the fit was with the park tools wrench. I have easily rounded the sides of alloy nipples with the RavX wrench, should have been using the Park tools instead. Pretty useless, at least for size "0" nipples that I have been using most.

Good tool for your bike.
I bought this to adjust my old Schwinn Varsity and my girlfriends Trek bike. It seems to fit spokes on both. The Schwinn uses the smallest size and the Trek uses the next size up. So, I am happy with it. See how it does for the long haul. I also just picked up a couple old Varsity's that need some wheel truing. Going to give this tool a workout. Glad it fits and its pretty comfortable to use. Good buy.

These little wrench works a lot better than the single ones from Park tool. (I Bought both). one tool and you have 4 sizes!.
