No Free Light, But 5 Stars Anyway
Not sure what everyone is complaining about. I didn't receive a "free light", yet this stand still deserves 5 stars. It is by far the most outstanding and among the best I've ever used, if not the best. To get the perfect laptop stand, I remembering stooping as low as to make a laptop stand out of a music sheet holder. It was more expensive than this and much less sturdy. But the Mobotron has stood the test of time and has lasted longer than any stand I've purchased in the past. It strikes a nerve when I see a 5 star product receive 3-1 stars. Improper installation is the number one cause for negative experiences. Lack of knowledge is the second. Over 14 years traveling as a Telecommunications Engineer and First Responder, I've purchased a number of stands, but never knew of any to remain completely rigid without moving. Even with professional installs, some are bound to give away just a little. Depending on the angle and the methods used to mount this stand, it can be made into a high quality helper. With the past experience and knowledge I have, along with this I decided to order a support brace. Because mostly all laptop stands need one. With a brace into place, this is a sure winner. If only only something small like an iPad Air, it wouldn't need a brace. But with a normal sized laptop short of a Netbook, additional support is required. For the price and quality, it's definitely worth the investment. No bent, seized, rusted, stripped, faded or broken parts after 1 year of installation.

Absolutly great product.
I use this in my Jeep as I am a sales rep. Defiantly worth it. I love the fact that it's easy to take out when you have a passenger. Easy to install. Highly recommend for anyone who is in sales or generally needs to use a computer alot for their jobs while traveling. Only con is that the adjustment screws on the table fall out if you don't pay attention due to my jeeps vibration

CHECK YOUR SEATS FIRST
Its hard for me to give this a true review, I ended up ordering a heavy duty model on ebay since the shipping looked as though it was going to miss the time frame they had promised (it did end up arriving on time)
Make sure to check the mounting bolts on your seat, if its like the Buick Lacrosse I was putting this in you will have a problem since the seats are riveted not bolted so cannot be removed. I think in theory this would work well, I ended up creating a base for this to attach to. It worked, held a 19in led tv and kept us entertained for a 6000 mile trip.
The construction is good on the heavy duty one and it is very adjustable.

Get ready for busted knuckles and frustration, other than that, it works like a turd
It's just okay. It works but it's clunky. Set up is a bitch. If the bolt that connects your seat to the car isn't at the right angle, that is, perfectly perpendicular or parallel to the floor of the car, the bracket doesn't fit well. The whole unit is not engineered well and you have to get mad with it to make some of the parts to fit together right. Adjusting it to the correct angle is awkward. Other than that, it works okay if you're parked, but I wouldn't trust an expensive laptop to stay secure while moving, even on easy, flat streets. Pay a little more and get something better.

First thing, yes, they're a little shady trying to 'buy good reviews' with their free light deal you find out about when you open the package. Either way, yes, I like this stand, but only because I'm not trying to over load it like some people are complaining about. If you try to slap a full size or even worse, a toughbook, on this mount you're gonna have a bad time. This mount is perfect for holding smaller things like tablets or netbooks. My Samsung N150 netbook looks like it was made to go on this stand but it weighs so little it works well with this mount. Honestly if you can afford to have a toughbook in your truck then you afford to also have a good stand to hold it, so don't expect this light duty stand to handle a heavy duty laptop. Also as noted by others, if you don't mount this directly to the seat bolt then it will shake about horribly, that little bracket they have for slipping it under the seat bolt is worthless so use the cup to mount it directly over the seat anchor bolt.

Great buy great price and functional
Great buy great price and functional. Gives more room than a traditional unit. Simple breakdown to make room for passenger without having to disassemble. Fits perfectly in my 2000 jeep Cherokee Laredo. Works so well my husband bought one for his Ford explorer and has same functionality. Would recommend to anyone wanting same function as top of line for lower costs.

Worth the money.
After searching for several years for a laptop mount that wasnt $400, I finally came across this mount. I have had it in my work van for about a month now and it has been a great addition. The laptop mount allows me to access my laptop when needed without having to pull it out of my case then open it and wait for it to start up. With the aid of an inverter I am able to leave my laptop on and get to the information I need quicker. If you are looking for a mount I highly recommend this mount. And its great for the price.

Exactly what I expected.
I purchased and have been using this product for about 2 weeks. It is extremely adjustable to fit perfectly in my vehicle. I drive a stick and it is able to be positioned so as not to interfere with my driving yet easily accessible from the drivers position. It is a bit wobbly at times depending on the road surface however I figured it would move some since it only has one point of contact with my car. I am considering the support bracket but as of now, I do not believe it is necessary for my application. Took a bit longer than 10 minutes to install since I basically installed it twice to get a better mount at the bast of my seat but overall it is exactly what I expected and an awesome price for what you get.

I bought this for work. I spend all week in the field running from location to location. This stand has been bounced, rocked, shaken and just all around treated rough. It's held up great and stays tight to the base and to my laptop.
The only thing I wish it did differently is have a better range of positions to set it in.
