Perfect Boot for the working man
love the fit of these boots.Been wearing Justin brand for 30 years .I went thru 3 different pairs of Justin's , in three weeks time, including the style I usually buy yearly ,could not get a comfortable fit ,so I tried another style ,still could not wear more than 10 minutes before they would begin to hurt my feet . I'm used to having to break in new leather boots ,but I never experienced anything like this in the past with Justin's,so I just gave up on them,Don't understand what happened with Justin . Tried different brands and styles at the local boot store when I found and tried these Ariat's. Bought them on line using my points thru AlumiGogo .Perfect fit from the start and very comfortable . These are my new brand and style for a work boot that I wear daily. If you have to wear them all day everyday ,they have to be comfortable and I love these for fit and comfort ,plus they don't look bad at all for a working man's boot

"Oily Distressed" seems lighter than pictured
"Oily Distressed" color is a little lighter than pictured, which I thought was a good thing actually. I litterally measured my foot and based the sizing on the chart provided, so they fit perfectly, but Ariat does have varying sizes throughout different products which makes shopping for their boots online very risky.

Best boots ever had!!!!
Buddy at work had many pairs and liked the way they looked so ordered a pair. OMG!!! These are the BEST boots I have ever owned!! I have had ankle pain and fasciitis plantar pain for years in my left foot when walking and I kid you not that the pain goes away when I wear these boots. I love putting these on at work and actually go for walks around facility where I work because these are so comfortable and a pleasure to walk in. These are my work boots (thinking about using these for hiking). They took about a week to break in and form fit to my feet. Had for about 3 months now, water proof and wear are great. Cant wait to get second pair

Don't hesitate-just buy these boots!!
One of the complaints I have about this boot is that you can slightly feel the edge of the steel toe plate...at times.
Other than that, this boot is fricking awesome!
Yesterday I was wading in water up past my ankle and never once was my foot even remotely damp! Truly waterproof!
I will admit that I am really hard on my boots. I'm a jack of all trades and my environment changes daily so I come across all kinds of things that challenge my work boot. I have had these for over a month and you can't hardly even tell they have been worn.
Great boot, great comfort, amazing durability, astonishing quality...excellent buy! Don't hesitate.
And no, I wasn't asked to write this review nor was I paid to do so, they are just that great!

Initially, these seemed too small. When they arrived and I tried them on, they were snug, but I believed they'd easily stretch out as they're leather and that's how most cowboy boots are. They didn't easily stretch out. It took a good month of wearing them in order to break them in to a comfortable fit. Now they're great and I believe a larger size would've been too big. I appreciate the thick and cushioned sole. They keep my feet warm and dry in winter, no matter if they become wet or not.
A few caveats:
- Heavy. The reinforced toe and thick sole add to the weight of the boot.
- Warm. Good for winter, bad for summer. They're lined with a thick material, thinsulate, I believe.
- Need to be broken in.

Your feet will thank you!
This is my second pair of these. The first pair are still going strong. I just needed some for work so I ordered this pair with the composite toe.
Virtually no break in period and very comfortable. Waterproof? Meh, as long as you treat them with a waterproofing cream like Sn0-S€al you should be good unless you trudge through mud and water all day.

A good, comfortable boot
I really like this boot. I wear a size 14 running shoe and originally ordered a size 14 in another style with a square toe. It swallowed my foot so I assumed that Ariats run big and ordered a size 13 in this one. When it arrived, I was going to send it back as it felt too tight on my toes with the composite toe, but instead, I wore it around the house for two days and let my toes get used to it, and then decided to keep it and wear it outside I have worn nothing else on my feet since. I have been wearing boots on and off all of my life getting my first pair of "grown-up" cowboy style boots in 1983 and wearing boots throughout a nearly 26 year military career. I have to say, the comfort level in this boot far exceeds any cowboy boot I have ever worn and every military boot I have worn except my Corcoran Tanker Boots and my Matterhorn Cold Weather Boots. I am very pleased with the boot, but due to my having developed plantar fasciitis during my last deployment, I did change out the inserts with my medical ones. However, if I did not have foot issues, this boot would have stayed exactly the way it came to me, as it is extremely comfortable. I like it so much, I may buy a second square toed pair for "dressing up", as this pair will be used everyday.

Very well constructed boot
I bought these boots to replace my aging 2yr old Ariat workhogs that weren't waterproof. I wear a size 10.5EE and i got these WorkHog RT's (Round Toe) hoping i would have a bit more room for my toes, but the composite toe takes up that room making it a bit tight. So I'm pretty bummed I had to return them. But I will say that these boots are pretty beefy when it comes to build quality. And that the Ariat WorkHog series are the best boots I have worn. The outsole is what really makes these boots great. Like I said my Original WorkHogs are going on over two years now and are still comfy even tho the outside edges are getting pretty low I still wear them. I wear them for work (electrician) and every day tasks (ranch work) and they are great.

Comfortable product for long work days.
Update: after more exchanges with Ariat, they issued a return authorization and replaced the boots with a new pair after I shipped the defective ones back. I still think this particular design could be improved because that seam probably gets a lot of friction from motion and has the potential to come apart again.
I love Ariat boots and have worn them for years. I have pairs that are 10 years old and others that are over 5 years old that are still in great shape. This pair has separated at the seam above the toe box in just under a year, and I have gotten the run-around from both AlumiGogo and Ariat about having the product replaced under warranty. Ariat's warranty requires that you return to your authorized retailer, but AlumiGogo does not choose to abide by that policy and refuses to help you resolve the matter if it is outside of 30-180 days per their own policy. I would assume, as I imagine others in this position, that if a retailer sells a product, they abide by the manufacturer's warranty or it is clearly posted on the product page. Apparently it is posted in some fine print on some other page that isn't even linked to from the product page. For nearly $200, I would select a different pair of work boots.

Great Work boots a little snug when you first put them on but if you want a boot to fit properly and give support you need to break in to your foot. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.
