5 Stars By rick gash on 2018-03-10 Really great turntable Very nice turntable. It's pretty big, and kinda heavy. It sounds really great But I found out I've got to get a cleaner for the records I forgot about that I also purchased the target light that goes with it and it's pretty cool shines right on the needle so you know what you're doing All in all it's a really cool turntable if you're in the market for one the price is good and its quality.
5 Stars By Simon on 2012-12-02 Great turntable, love the sound The Gemini TT-1100 is a nice turntable providing great sound. This turntable brings the quiet belt driven operation and advanced manual adjustments, which result in great sounding records. I found that upgrading to lower end direct drive turntables sacrifices the sound as the motor hum cannot be avoided. The higher end belt driven turntables stay in the same price range, but provide superior audio. There is no dust cover with this turntable.
5 Stars By Steve W. Johnson on 2012-11-07 Quality and Price in the same turntable! Before I bought this turntable, I read the reviews and I was cautious about my purchase as a result. When I go the turntable I was surprised by the quality of this product. It was easy to assemble and had features I have never had on a turntable at any price; such as the reverse motor that allows you to play the disc backwards and the slide bar for changing the speed. I bought a different cartridge than the one supplied. It was a Shure cartridge that cost as much as the turntable but more than worth the money. I get superior tracking and professional high-end response from the cartridge/turntable combination.
I am assuming most of the other reviews had limited or no experience working with a turntable before. Having owned four other turntables previously that go back to the early 1970s, I found setting this turntable up and its performance the best of all the tables I've owned. And..at the price! It is a deal to be had.
I am not fond of the software included but I have a Nero program that works well with this table for converting tracks to mp3 files. The output is "hot" from the turntable, so I had to turn the volume down on the computer to avoid distortion. I highly recommend this turntable as the best deal for your dollars. I would recommend a high-end cartridge, purchased separately but it will enhance this table's performance.
4 Stars By Slavko Kocevski on 2015-03-19 The only thing that really disappointed me was that even though the sound was good ... The only thing that really disappointed me was that even though the sound was good and crisp, the rotation at 33 RPM was faster than it should be. I tried to work with the pitch change, it helps. But, it should normal speed at 0 pitch. Again, in my initial rating I was very harsh and it was reflection on my initial disappointment.
4 Stars By T. Bryce on 2013-01-30 Great Valued Turntable Great entry level turntable. Easy to assemble and install, the majority of the unit is made of plastic while the actual turntable is metal. The unit is sturdy and stable and and all buttons are well placed and move easily with presses. Sound reproduction is warm and sound quality is good, this obviously will vary depending on your components but this unit works well.
5 Stars By Peter Mccall on 2009-10-30 Correction At first I thought they shipped this table without a belt, maybe I was influenced by the previous reviewer But the belt is there wrapped around the bottom of the platter. All you have to do is line the square hole in the platter over the pulley and stretch the belt over the pulley You might have to use something like the tip of a knife to get between the belt and the platter, be careful. Just read the instructions first and you should be OK. My bad. Now that I got it running everything seems to work and it sounds good too. You also can upgrade the cartridge if you like or get a 78 cartridge as well. I haven't got a chance to transfer any tracts to the pc yet but so far it works great as a stand alone turntable. High recommend.
4 Stars By A good customer on 2014-09-05 I like it, It does the job I like it, It does the job. I think very easily it could be more compact, to the size of a home theater audio system. Being it a modern Turntable it should come already with a preamp for the Home theater/Audio System. As a lot of people uses it for backup Old Records it should have an automatic Start and Stop once the record finished.
5 Stars By Brian Crain on 2016-03-22 Cheap Turntable i was searching for a cheap turntable to transfer some vinyl only releases to MP3's with. picked it up for $40.00 + shipping (used) and it works fine..the reverse is cool.my only real complaint is no dust cover.
4 Stars By AlumiGogo Customer on 2017-07-29 Great, but check the speed before recording! It is perfect for digitalizing your music collection. Make sure to check how fast the TT is rotating. Mine was spinning slow, but it is an easy fix with the speed adjuster. This is the reason why I rate it 4 stars instead of 5. The player sounds great and albums that skipped on my other TT are able to be played nicely with antiskate.
1 Stars By William Northcutt on 2015-08-31 A terrible machine, the disc plate got hung on metal ... A terrible machine, the disc plate got hung on metal around the edges. The thing came without all of its part, and it made every record sound warped. Avoid this at all costs. It's not worth the money. Pay more and get something decent, maybe Audio Technica.
