Bolts are to short but the clip nuts work great.
As the headline shows the bolts are too short but the clips are fine. I ended up buying longer bolts to get back up and running. Since this may be the only way to get the clip nuts, the bolts are just there to give you another reason to go to town to get parts after you figure out they are too short. Looks like the other reviews are pretty much in agreement that if you have the large 34 gallon fuel tank (most all of the long bed trucks), the bolts will be too short. They ship with M10-1.5 x 50mm bolts and the OEM bolts are M10-1.5 x 75mm. You can order some of the correct from AlumiGogo when you order these but when I checked they came in a 4pk and cost as much as this kit. They will not have the dog point but will work. I ended up using a 70mm long bolt I got at the hardware store and it worked great.

Works to replace the rusted factory hardware but the bolts are half as long as they need to be. I managed to get the front strap on with one of the bolts but the rear strap wasn't even close. Fortunately I have a good collection of various bolts and found a much longer one with the same grade and threads that would work. There is no reason these bolts should be so short, make them as long as the stock equipment Dorman.

Useful, but they ended up not being long enough for my application. I ended up having to jack the tank up as high as I could go before starting these, even at that one of the bolts broke free from the metal clip and started to spin. Not a pleasant experience to be dealing with to begin with, and these really helped, but longer bolts would have been better.

1997 GMC LWB, 34 Gallon Tank - Too Short
I bought these for a 1997 GMC LWB, 34 Gallon Tank. The strap bolts are too short. The nut and clip works fine. The bolts are bout 1.5 inches shorter than the OEM. I was able to make one of them work only because I had one original longer bolt. I used this shorter one in the front and had to use the OEM bolt on the back strap. These are just the standard HELP packages you can buy at Advanced or OReilly's. Nothing Special. The packing was terrible. I received them they were out the pack and rolling around in the box. I guess I was lucky the box didn't have a hole in it. Would not use these if I do another tank drop.

They would work fine if used
The bolts that came with this set were substantially shorter than the factory bolts. They would work fine if used. I reused the factory bolts and the new clamping nuts. The shorter bolts would be a con as they do not allow for any slack in order to adjust the 30 gallon tank on my 97 Yukon 2DR.

Perfect fit for 2004 silverado
Perfect fit. Bolts were the same length as stock on my 2004 silverado, if not an 1/8th inch longer.

Good replacement for factory hardware
Worked great for my 1992 full size Blazer. The original bolts were so rusted that I had to use a cutting wheel to get one of them off. These popped right in and were long enough to put tank back in place with no issues.

Worked great and are a bit longer
Worked great and the bolts are 3/4" longer than the stock ones. This fit my 2000 Silverado 2500 even though it said it would not fit. It's just a nut and bolt.

Garbage should have tried threading bolt and nut together before putting tank back up with brand new straps. The bolt started into nut and seized thought was cross threaded tried other much more carefully with the result of both nut retainers breaking and having to cut new straps. Garbage quality control.
