Pedag and HappyStep comparison
I wanted to see the difference for myself so I bought the Pedag and the HappyStep Terrycloth insoles. I purchased both in (women’s)size 8 even though I am a true 9. Both brands fit perfectly in my size 9 shoes. As other commenters noted, the HappyStep brand is ever so slightly more cushiony, softer. The terrycloth seems a tiny bit thicker. The Pedag are slightly less flexible and a tad thinner—both the insole depth as well as width at the ball of the foot. But the differences are really subtle. If your shoes have a little room in terms of fit and shape/design, I’d go with the HappyStep (like the black loafers pictured). If the shoes are more snug and/or of a slimmer profile (like the black open-sided flats pictured), try the Pedag. Happy with both, so far.

Can't wait to buy more!
I bought one pair of these to try....I wore them to work inside flats. I normally never wear shoes without socks because my feet sweat a lot and if I don't wear socks the shoes will smell terrible and after wearing the shoes 2-3 times I have to get rid of them. The terry top layer is a bit thinner than I expected, but they were very comfortable due to the cushioned, breathable bottom layer. These kept my feet comfortable and dry all day. I hand washed them...the package did not come with washing instructions even though the description says machine washable. I am going to purchase a few more pairs and shop for some new flats! *Update* I bought a few more pairs of these. I even bought a pair and cut the toe part out, so I could wear them with open toed flats. One recommendation I would have is to bring these with you when shoe shopping, because for some shoes it can make the shoe a bit tight because it slightly decreases the space in the shoe. The pictures show one as purchased and the underside of one that I cut the toes out of.

Nice insert for flats!
I got these to go in a pair of flats and they fit great! True to size! No cutting to the shape of your foot which is nice! I'll probably buy more!

I hate socks. They're too hot
I hate socks. They're too hot. But I can't go commando in my shoes, because, you know, feet. These little things are the solution I have been looking for.
I have tried other inserts in the past but they move around, rub, give blisters, etc. These don't do any of that. They don't move. They don't rub. I don't feel them at all, but on the other hand, they are very comfortable and add a certain amount of cushioning. They make any shoe feel like a sneaker.
They are highly absorbent. This was key for me. They protect my shoes from my feet and my shoes are lasting much longer as a result.
They are easily washed--the package says to hand wash them, but I am a rebel, I throw them in the washing machine in a lingerie bag and let them air dry afterwards. They have held up very well through this negligence. After many wears they are not discolored nor have they lost their terrycloth loopiness.
Don't let the price turn you off. I thought they were a bit expensive until I realized how durable they are. I have five pair now and wear a new pair every day that I wear a closed shoe.
-Listen to the other reviewers who are advising you about the size. I can't remember the advice now (they either run big or run small, I forget) and am too lazy to look, all I can tell you is follow the advice you are being given about the size by other reviewers.
-They do have a certain dimension so bring them with you when you are shopping for shoes. If your shoe is already tight, these will make them tighter. They're not super thick or anything, and they are just flat, no curvature, but you do need room in the shoe to accommodate them.
-My only complaint is more of an AlumiGogo complaint than a Pedag complaint: Why are they an add-on item only? So silly. I can buy a Chapstick by itself but I can't buy an $8 pair of shoe inserts by themselves?
I am so glad I found these. They are the solution I have been searching for. I hope they are your solution too.

They were wonderful until I washed them again
Ok, I have purchased several different brands and types of inserts. The tops of the gel ones wear away and then you get goop sticking to your feet. The non-gel types either get really thin in no time or start to wrinkle under your feet. These ones ARE THE BEST! They absorb sweat which helps to prevent odor. They are thick enough that they make my shoes comfortable. But, as another reviewer said, bring these along when shoe shopping because they can make some shoes too tight. Avoid puddles and rain if wearing these, they will absorb the rainwater like you wouldn't believe! I hand washed them after the rainstorm and they took many hours to air dry. Would I buy these again? You bet I would! And I've told many, many people about these. Don't change a thing about them they are wonderful as is!!
UPDATE: After the second wash (air dried) the right one shrank across the part that goes under the ball of the foot. The rubber on both have cracks and are now flaking off. Neither stay put in my shoes so I have to constantly readjust them during the day. Guess I'm back to looking for a good set of inserts. These are too expensive for how long they did not last!

I love these!!! If you have sweaty feet/stinky feet but like to wear shoes without socks (like Toms) these are the answer to your prayers. When they get dirty, wash them in the washing machine with clothes and then pop them back into my shoes with a dab of lavender oil. My only complaint is they are a tad narrow through the inner middle part-- I guess that's the arch of the foot? Anyway, they are still superior to those stupid half sock thingys which always show anyway. I've bought two pairs and will buy more.

Everything I never knew I needed
These are awesome. I wear converse, toms, flats, etc. every day for work and they look weird when you wear them with socks. The problem with this is that they smell kind of funky if you wear them every day or if your feet sweat a lot. When I found these I was so excited to try them. I have tried them in all of my shoes. The smelliest of the shoes are the Toms, particularly if they’ve gotten wet or sweaty. I was nervous wearing them to work, because I had to change out of them there in front of other people (to wear sneakers for a walk). The good news, I couldn’t smell a thing!!
I have also used these with Rocket Pure foot spray, which is a nice minty smell. A great combination.
Basically, these are amazing. I used to worry about foot odor while wearing flats and shoes without socks. Now I don’t have to think twice. The best part is that they are machine washable, so I can always keep them clean and fresh. Im looking forward to my shoes lasting longer, and less embarrassment about foot odor.
I plan to order many more! These are awesome and everyone should know about them.
Sizing: I ordered the 38. I wear a size 8.5 usually. The 38s were a little too long but they are flexible enough that they still worked in all of my shoes.
Update: I've worn these several times without washing. Unlike regular shoe inserts, these will probably need to be washed more regularly. They started to smell a few days in (not a huge problem in my opinion!)

Washable (even machine) replacements for slipper inserts.
Bought these to line some sheepskin slippers that the bottom had worn out in. These are great, they wash well, and I have washed them in the washing machine and then drip dry. You cannot cut them down to size easily, as they are stitched along the edges so be certain you get the correct size. They do run true to size.

Your feet will thank you!
My feet and I love these! I wear flats all the time (bad feet) but cannot stand those "no slip" socks (*eyeroll* They always slip) and footies. These keep my feet dry from sweat which means no stink! They are easy to wash once a week in the washer/dryer (probably should air dry them but I always forget to take them out in between). I put a few drops of essential oils on them just because.
My only issue is that they are very true to shoe size. I'm pregnant and have some normal swelling in my feet so I went up a shoe size for a few weeks and these don't exactly fit in the new size. I'm still using them but I have to adjust them during the day. That's not a product issue, I'm just too lazy/cheap to buy another pair for such a short time! :) It's just good to know that they are true to the size listed.

Good purchase and great alternative to "hidden" socks
I hate "hidden" socks, but I also hate stinky shoes and feet. I have been searching for an alternative to the hidden socks that I can wear with ballet flats and tennis shoes, and I found this product. The price was right to test it and after 1 full day of wearing it, it was a good purchase. For some ballet flats, it makes the shoes a bit tighter, so this won't work well for shoes that are already on the tight side. I wouldn't give it a perfect score because i can feel the end of them with my toes, which is a little distracting (but less distracting than a half-on, half-off sock).
