Your feet will thank you!!
Love these! They're way better than the custom orthotics that I had made by several different professionals. If you wear a half-size, just go *down* to your closest size. For example, I wear an 8.5, so I usually purchase a 7/8. I wear sneakers every day to alleviate lower back & knee problems, so I replace them every 3-6 months & rotate them whenever I can find a couple of pairs in my budget. I replace the insoles (with these) at the same time. Pull out the insole that came with the shoe & slide these in instead--you won't be sad you did. Oh, and they're thin enough that you can easily fit them in other shoes as well, like ballet slipper flats, shoes with a modest heel, etc. Obviously, these wouldn't be suited for open shoes like sandals, flip flops, etc. b/c there's nothing around the edges of the shoe to keep them in. It doesn't seem like that would be necessary to point out, but there's always someone who needs the reminder. For everyone else, enjoy your new comfy shoes & young-again back & knees!

Better Shoe Inserts - Spenco For Her Q Factor
Good: Spenco Gel Comfort---(3 Stars) this insert didn't offer/provide enough cushion for longer walks, leaving my feet tired.
Better: Spenco For Her Q Factor---(4 Stars) this insert offers decent cushion, I can walk further / longer in these inserts than the gel inserts previously reviewed., or many others that I've tried.
Best: Spenco Polysorb Walker/Runner Athletic Insole (5 Stars) this insert allows me to walk and ear shoes comfortably all day. I can walk & bike in them, which you would expect from an 'Athletic' insole. But more important/surprising is that they also provide excellent support and comfort for 'standing' which is often more debilitating than moving. They are by far the most superior insert i've ever tried. You wouldn't go wrong with any of them, they are worth every penny. -- best of luck!

Just right! Supportive without the pain
For all of my athletic shoes this is the only plush and supportive insole that I can wear without feeling the raise on the heel cup and bulking up the entire shoe which usually happens with maximum shock absorbent insoles. It gives me adequate arch support without the stiffness that one normally finds on higher arch insoles, this one actually has a blend of supportive but flexible material in them which I find to be critical for a maximum comfort. This is my 4th pair and I wouldn't switch it to anything else since I have gone through nearly a dozen of other brands and styles that ends up stressing me out and ended up in the trash.

Best Orthotics for a Woman's Foot
The best orthotic inserts I have had. They should be used in place of any insoles the shoe comes with, therefore you will need to gradually work the shoe's insole out of the shoe (especially if it is glued in) and then using the removed insole, shape the Spenco to that same shape. They will fit much better and feel comfortable if you cut them to size. Note: They are antimicrobial but I still wash them often in antibacterial soap. You can pat dry with a towel and let them air dry thoroughly before use. Also, they are approved by the American Podiatric Association [I think the name is correct].
I tried Spenco made for either men's or women's shoes at first and found they were not nearly as comfortable as the Q Factor, which are made for a woman's foot, only.

Great for my over pronation
I have the total or ultimate orthotics of this and got those in my work shoes, I tried these out in my gym shoes and they're perfect. My podiatrist reccommended this brand because of my over pronation and heel spurs that started growing from bad plantar fascitis from years of abuse in crappy Army boots. I can totally feel the difference between these and the other spencos, these have more support in the heel, don't hurt in the toe box area and give the right amount of support in my arches, I feel more stable and my knees don't give out or buckle so far. Overall worth a try especially if you don't want cortisone shots in your heel from pain.

I get really bad shin splints and my husband found these insoles for ...
I'm not an avid runner (I run a few times a week, either outdoors or on the treadmill when it's cold or rainy). I get really bad shin splints and my husband found these insoles for me about 2 years ago. They work perfectly at getting rid of my shin splints. It's not an issue of worn out shoes, as I try to keep decently new shoes specifically for running. More than likely, there's not enough arch cushioning in the running shoes (when you purchase them). These insoles have great cushioning and fit perfectly in my shoes (I trim the toes just a little bit and they slide right in). I always buy Mizuno running shoes and these insoles are a great fit for them. I also included photos of my old Spenco Q Factor insoles. I love these insoles and will continue to buy them as long as they make them. They make my feet feel great when running. :)

They were not for me
I got this for a pair of Nike Air Max 2014 size 7, which are great shoes but insoles wore off and got a hole. I cut them to adjust to the shoes was easy enough but they feel funny, probably a little too high on the planter arch. I don't know if it's because cutting them changed the fit or it's just my feet. They stayed well inside so they didn't slip and I liked the cushion on the heel. But I couldn't get used to the arch fit and got a new pair of shoes after trying them for a few weeks. I don't have any foot issue which needs a support, and I'm not a runner, I'm in the medical field and on my feet all day at work, so this product may not have been suitable for my situation.

These don't live up to their reputation
Please know that insoles are a very personalized item. The ones that work best for me, may not be the ones that work best for you.
I purchased these insoles after purchasing the Spenco cross trainer insoles, which were far too large for me. I bought these in the women's 7-8, and they still run very large. They barely fit into my size 9-1/2 Saucony shoes.
I have rated them at 3-stars because their sizing is not true, they seem flimsily made and they are not working well for me.
These are called cushioned insoles, and there is a nice pink gel cushion at the heel, but the forefoot is extremely thin and has next to no springy cushioning in it. There is a bump (intentional) in the center, in front of the arch. I am sure this is designed to be helpful, but I find it quite uncomfortable.
I have med-high arches and have been suffering arch pain, plantar fasciitis and tendon pain at my insteps. I purchased these particular insoles because friends with similar foot pain had found relief with these. I have not experienced any relief from my pain since I've been using these (about 2 weeks). It seems like the raised arch part sits too far back on the insole. Maybe it's just my foot, and my arch is further forward than most.
I do not believe that one size fits all, and to be effective, it seems logical that insoles should come in as many sizes as our shoes come in. These Spencos do not. The next size up is the women's 9-10. Though they came recommended, I will not be trying another pair of Spencos.

Perfect for the concrete jungle...
There’s a lot of insoles out there...these are really a great option.
Back in the day I worked at a sneaker company that would have us push these insoles on customers. In those days I was in my 20s, and could care less about wearing insoles.
But now I’m older, live in NYC, so I literally walk everywhere, and I work in retail on my feet for 8 hrs a day (not footwear). I also like wearing flat kicks ( I have a high arch) like converse that have no support and feel like I’m walking on the ground. I remembered this brand, so I bought a pair and started using these and my feet never felt better. I used to get sharp pains in my heels, these remedied my problems. No foot doctor needed. No expensive investment on orthotics. These last me a while, 6-12 months, before my heels tell me to get a new pair.
Overall the price is pretty good and they are way better than some of the crap I tried for more $$.

these are hands down the BEST insoles I have ever used
these are hands down the BEST insoles I have ever used!!! Super comfy, not to bulky. LOVE LOVE LOVE! (I should mention that I work at Home Depot and stand on bare concrete for at least 8 hours a day, and these are the only insoles that I have found that I am still able to stand at the end of my day!)
