The best label maker I own!
I looked around stores and read reviews on AlumiGogo before settling on purchasing this label maker.
Although, this label maker is pricier than the $10 ones on sale in this website I decided to purchase this label maker instead because of the following reason:
-The size of the label maker. The label maker is bigger than most and the letters and numbers are larger and easier to see and press.
-The label maker has different language settings.
-The letter (~N) has it's own button in the keypad of the label maker and I can access it faster without pressing special buttons. This is great if I want to label things in Spanish.
-The cost of the refills is much cheaper than the replacements for other label makers. They go as low as $4 on this website. The refills are also available in craft stores, unlike refills for other label makers, and you are able to use coupons for it at craft stores.
-The features available: I can add symbols to my labels, as well as characters like: hearts, smiley faces, baseball. and others.
The label maker can also do double lines. Underline, Bold, Italic, vertical.
The label maker can format different: styles, sizes, borders, boxes, dates.
-The label maker has printing options: you can preview a label , adjust print contrast. It is easy to print, just click the large "PRINT" button in the middle of the label maker and press hard on the scissor button on the side of the label maker to cut the label.
-The labels are easy to peel. The sticker part is pre-cut lengthwise on the label just peel from the openings to peel two layers (top and bottom) to reveal the sticky side of the label.
-The label maker has the options to save label texts and recalling stored label.
-It is fairly easy to use. I just read the manual took a few minutes, and then immediately began to make labels without a problem.
-This came with two refills one already set up inside the label maker. and a clear s label refill.
The scissor button is hard to press.
Batteries not included.

I love my Dymo!!
I love this labeler!! I've had the other style Dymo for at least 15 years (the long, narrow one) but this one is such easier to use. The qwerty key layout makes it quick and easy to type out a label. No more searching for the letter you need as most of us are so used to typing on a keyboard now that any other layout of the letters is cumbersome! Making your selection for font style, size, etc. as well as special characters and features like a text frame are easier to set with the function keys. There's also a numbers lock function which is a big plus compared to the other style Dymo.
I have been making labels like crazy and even on a cheap set of batteries, it's still going strong with no visible fading of the typeface, this model also uses 2 fewer batteries than the other Dymo I had.
I like the size of the screen, it's easy to see at a glance what all of your preferences are set for. The only reason I was replacing my old Dymo was because after 10+ years of use, the LCD screen was going out :( I hope that I will get 10+ years out of this one.
Another plus with Dymo over other labelers is the price and availability of the tape/label cartridges. I can pick a 2 pack up at Wally-World (walmart) for about $7-8 bucks
Please note, there is NO INK, the paper is heat sensitive, so if you're having problems with unclear words, check your batteries first!! Also, on the first label I printed the type came out off center of the tape. this was my own fault, when installing the tape cartridge make sure to push it all the way in until you hear a click! I was used to the old style in which you simply drop the cartridge in, so once I pressed it into place and heard that click, I was good to go.
Another nice feature of this model, even tho I doubt I will ever use it, is memory. You have the ability to save up to 9 labels. Why you would do that I don't know, but I imagine someone will find this feature handy. Instead of memory I would have preferred a backlit screen, that is the ONLY drawback to these labelers, if you are in a poorly lit room, you can barely see the screen.

Letters print unevenly, labels look sloppy
It works okay and is easy to use, but the printing of letters that hang lower (p, g, q) is off. The font of those letters is smaller in order to cram them into the same lateral area as the non-hanging letters (see photo). The result is that the labels look sloppy and uneven, not clean and organized. The font is also blurry/pixelated and there are not different font options like I had thought. Overall, poorly designed product and I wish I had gone with a different one.

Labels peal off--not worth the money, buy a PTouch
Prints nicely, has a lot of decent features but labels don't stick well. Just trying to tidy up an office and make things organized, but the ENDS of the labels begin to peal off after a short time which defeats the purpose--had to peal off several labels entirely and affix new ones because it just looked like crap plus I didn't want the label pealing entirely off eventually. I've used Brother P Touch's for years and it looks like I'll be going back to that brand.

This has lots of text options, prints with no wasted tape and backing is easily removed. You'll love it!
I finally decided to ditch my ancient dymo with the thick plastic tape and get this easy to operate new model. I removed all the old labels on my extensive spice collection and replaced them with sleek, elegant silver labels. This unit is very easy to use and the directions are clear. There are lots of options in text size and graphics too.
The label prints with no wasted tape on either side. The backing is easy to remove with the perforation along the whole length of the label (unlike the backing on the old plastic tape). The labels can be repositioned and even placed on another item without losing the sticky on the back. You will probably have that "what can I label next" excitement like everyone has. I got a great deal from AlumiGogo warehouse too!

LABELS DO NOT STICK etc....
I just got this letratag label maker 4 days ago. I have made 12 labels with paper cartridge and 4 with the plastic. You can't control the selection arrows unless you are on the very side edge of the pad. It does not cut the labels correctly so every label has a screwed up, bunched up edges, and the cutter button sticks. I made 16 tags and the 4 brand new batteries are already dead. AND NONE OF THESE POS LABELS STICK to ANYTHING!!! They won't even say suck on a piece of loose leaf paper... Not even paper, seriously!! So DYMO is this a label maker or a company wide joke on small business owners everywhere?
If I wanted to have to put tape over a label I would have saved myself the 40.00 for the printer and extra label cartridges and just wrote the friggin labels myself on blank paper and taped them on. This is thing is garbage, and a huge waste of time, money, and isn't worth 25.00 bucks. I wouldn't pay a dollar for this at a yard sale knowing what I know now.
Glad I can share it with the masses of small business owners in my industry.
FOLKS , look elsewhere if you need a good quality label maker. You will NOT find it here, or by DYMO at all.
Hey Brother, I am in the market for a label maker...... Whatcha got?

I really like it! It is quite different from the Dymo ...
It took an hour to try to figure out how to find / or -, but once I got used to it, I really like it! It is quite different from the Dymo LetraTag that I used to own; e.g. No CAPS button to toggle. Overall, once I mastered how to find /,-,and capital or lowercase I found it quite easy!

Good for the money, but a few drawbacks
This label maker is a big improvement over the P touch model I'd been using. The P touch tape kept jamming and I wasted a lot of money replacing the cassettes prematurely. The Dymo label maker uses a more reliable tape and is easy to use.
However, there seem to be some small deficiencies. First, it always defaults to a large size of font. It won't stay on the one I last used. It's hard to tell what the printed label will look like before you print it since the LCD display only has some icons to show the font size and style. Finally, I couldn't find some common symbols, like a dash, on the keyboard. Perhaps there are some things I don't understand about it that would remedy these problems, but right now I don't have an answer for them.
As a basic label maker this is a very good device that is straightforward, uses a reliable cassette, and is inexpensive. But a bigger selection of symbols, a way to keep the last format settings used, and a better preview display would be useful improvements.

It worked great the first few times and now it keeps saying ...
I have to try to return which an big inconvince for me and who know if I will have the time these days. It worked great the first few times and now it keeps saying tape jam, so I looked online to see if maybe I could find an easy fix and I found many, however nothing has worked so far. I even put new tape in and guess what nothing. I was in the middle of a project so I was super excited to have this machine but now I am not. It really is a hit or miss if you decide to buy this product. Good Luck and I hope you get a better on than I did.

College Student Wanting To Be Organized.
I am a college student that genuinely wanted to become more organized.
I chose this because it seemed of high quality and the reviews backed it up as being worth looking at.
- Prints quickly
- Has many different options that allow for big, small, italized, bold, or two columned
- very reliable
- The paper didn't last long.
- I wish it had a copy paste function
- sometimes the print would come out lopsided if the paper wasn't loaded right.
Overall, definitely worth the purchase. I don't find myself using it nowadays because I everything is already organized and labeled!
But it did the job. And no regrets
