Fun for features, not for performance
Having had a Buzz Bee Doubleshot in the past, and thoroughly enjoying the ejecting shells, I decided after doing some research to pick this blaster up, especially because of it's low price. Upon arrival, I couldn't help but notice the blaster was smaller than I initially thought.
After playing with the blaster for a bit, shells and darts repeatedly flying everywhere, I found out some quirks of this product:
1. The blaster does feel cheap and clunky due to the mostly plastic construction, but also is quite durable.
2. The mechanism of the blaster is quite loud.
3. The priming handle is die-cast metal, and has a hefty prime weight, even for an adult, making this blaster unsuitable for very young children who don't have significant arm strength. Also, if you prime the blaster with your fingers inside the handle pushing with the backs of your fingers, they will become sore after awhile.
4. The shell ejection system is very fun, but must be operated with the blaster completely level, as any vertical angling will cause a jam
5. This blaster does work with Nerf elite darts, but they must be cut down first as they are initially too long to fit in the shells
6. Ranges compared to today's blasters is pitiful; the box claims 30 feet as a maximum, which is accurate to this blaster
7. The box magazine included with the blaster compatible with the Buzz Bee Hawk
8. Interestingly, the blaster can be breech-loaded with a single dart/shell by inserting it through the ejection port
Overall, this blaster is very fun to play with if it is intended to be used as a toy, but is unsuitable for a war due to the limited range and the reliance on shells to function.

Nice prop, sub par toy
I bought this as a prop for a costume about half a year or so ago prior to this post. The frame of the gun is durable but cheaply made, the magazine is rather large and the mouth of it wide, which can result in the dart cartridges popping out if you load more than 4-5 at a time and can cause jamming. The Cartridges typically discharge after the lever of the gun is rotated, but with 4+ cartridges loaded in the magazine this could cause issues. The range of the gun is very low, I'd say maybe 8.5 meters or so. Overall it's a great novelty and is again durable (in the case of general usage without being dropped or overly stressed), but I would only really recommend it to collectors.

My husband is currently deployed and wanted to get a few Christmas items for the kids since he wasn't here to do it. So he ordered this for my son and later found out they switched his R&R and he would be home for Christmas. So we ended up getting two of them. The guns themselves are very durable we have not had any problems since owning it but when you (7 year old) and daddy are running around trying to shot each other and load too quicklyyou can ruin some of the darts. Well heck I think most of them did get destroyed within the first 2 weeks of owning it. Good thing we found that you can get replacements. One is through the products company website and I also saw a bag full of them in Walmart in the toy section by us for 4.99. Overall is it fun...for mom it may drive you a little crazy finding darts everywhere or someone complaining it's not fair he shot me! lol But yeah I got some good laughs out of it and nice to see dad being a kid and having fun right along side with them.

Excellent and Realistic Rifle
This Buzz Bee rifle is really cool and fun to play with! I bought it for my 6 year old grandson and although he has trouble cocking the lever to eject the spent shell and load a new one, I use it instead when we have our dart gun battles. It shoots pretty far too! I like how the spent shells pop out just like a real rifle. I read all the reviews and it is just as advertised. It's also fun to eject the empty cartridge and load a new one. I would recommend purchasing extra cartridges and shells because in the heat of a battle, you need replacements (lol). I highly recommend this dart gun rifle.

Aside from just looking like a ton of fun, this Buzzbee gun is a blast! As with most Buzzbee products you have to deal with the shell+dart combo, which can make reloading slow in a pitched battle with friends--but any vetern Nerf/Buzzbee user should know to have a backup weapon for those long fire fights anyways.
An unexpected surprise with the weapon is that you can manually load single shots directly into the barrel (through the breach where it also ejects the shells). This actually allows you to load one shot into the barrel AND THEN a full 6-shot clip into the bottom. This "overloading" method can be prone to jams as well, so keep that in mind if you try it.
Thankfully the lever action itself is made of metal, so you don't have to worry about being gentle with it. This also allows for you to quite literally fire just as fast as you can ask for with any kind of lever- or bolt-action weapon, which could serve for a nice educational tool for kids (if you want extra replay value). In fact, most things about this gun lend to taking a beating, so don't shy away from really slamming that clip home either. All-in-all, a real fun foam dart gun and one that you'll love to have as part of your collection.

Surprisingly high quality.
I recently bought this gun through AlumiGogo, and it would have to be the best one of it's kind I have, and that's including the two Nerf brand Mavericks.
The entire reloading process takes place with a metal reloading arm that spits the old shell out of the side of the gun, and reloads the new bullet from the clip in one smooth action.
You can fire off six shots in rapid succession, with fairly decent accuracy too, (a little better that my Nerf brand revolvers).
I have had this gun jam on me once, tearing a small gash in the side of one of the darts that came with the gun, rendering it useless, and me one Buzz Bee dart short.
I was a little disappointed to discover that Nerf brand darts are a little too long to fit into the clip, although you can still load them in manually, one at a time, you could just cut a little off the back of the darts to make them fit nicely.
The clip is freaking hard to remove from this gun. It has a button to push and it says to "Press Button And Pull Clip Down With Force.", although it still does require quite a bit of it to do so.

Cool gun and it has a feature where it expends the shells after each shot just like a real rifle would. Toy is made very well. Not cheaply put together so that's awesome as well. It was sent very early and I couldn't be happier with the product or the service I received all around. Awesome job guys. Keep up the amazing service!

My boyfriend almost stole this from me. I had to hide the nerf shells and bullets! It has working pumping action and shoots well.
